My account seems to have been deleted or deactivated,can someone help me?

Hello, OPENAI. I am a Plus user, I logged into my account before this hour, and it was prompted “Oops!
You do not have an account because it has been deleted or deactivated. If you believe this was an error, please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com 2.” I didn’t find any helpful information in the help center. So I came here. I do not believe I have violated any policies and regulations or any of the relevant usage rules. Chatgpt helps me a lot with my development. You said you wanted to embrace AIGC, but you deleted my account. I don’t understand. Please help me recover my account.
Or do I use any sensitive words I have talked with gpt4 before? I do not know please at least let me know why my account was disabled. Please help me get my account back. I will strictly abide by the rules.

I have basically the same problem. no solution yet & no clear path via another bot or human how to get it reactivated. I would at the very least like access to my old chats.

For account related issues please use OpenAI Help Centre in the bottom right corner is a message icon. image click the icon and enter your issue, the bot will take your details and a member of the account support team will get back to you, it may take several weeks due to the number of people currently using the system.

Two days ago I got a refund mail for the cost of my GPT plus membership (I assumed it was refunding an authorization hold) as I have been using the service fine. Today I got an email saying my GPT Plus account is being deactivated for fraud. But I have no idea why. To my knowledge I’ve not done anything in violation of the terms and I mostly just use it for document outlining and creative writing.

I’ve emailed the support alias twice and tried sending 2 messages in chat but have not received any response. Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do to resolve this?

Any OpenAI staff who see this and can help guide me would be greatly appreciated!

Same message and that’s for missing verification Age (as to my experience). Anyone knows how to verify my age with blocked account?

Yes but no answer there after a week. Sorry for my post but there must be someone helpfull somewhere.
And seems I am not the only one left without answer.

You should use the help.openai.com link and go to the bottom right corner and use the support bot there to give your contact details and why you think there was a mistake.

Hi @Foxalabs, I tried the steps you mentioned through help.openai.com some time ago (at least 2 weeks ago) but still no response.

My account got deactivated on January 4th and it is still blocked today January 28th. I initially reached out over email (on January 4th itself) and I later got a response just saying there was some suspicious activity, but no clarity on what exactly it was and the account was just left deactivated. I asked for more clarification on that email thread but never got a follow-up response. Given no response I found this thread and followed the steps you suggested but nothing has come out of that either. :frowning:

I do not know what it is I did to cause the deactivation (maybe because I had my VPN on? or because I was invoking the APIs with my own .NET HttpClient as opposed to using an existing SDK? I dunno…).

I understand folks over there are super busy, but I am hoping someone can unblock my account and can also clarify more precisely what was the reason for the deactivation so that I do not repeat the same mistake again. I’ve been itching to get back using the APIs.

My deactivated account’s login email is the same as this community account’s email.

Unfortunately, the developer forum does not have access to accounts or account management staff, so the only communication channel is the help.openai.com bot.

I wish there was more I could offer, but that is just not a system we can influence from here.

Try Microsoft Edge or another browser. I’ve heard of problems…
