Why can't pay the billing

There’s some take-away solutions:

  1. Turn off VPN, if ur using one
  2. Make sure your phone num, bank card, ip loc are in the same country.
  3. Turn off iCloud private delay, which disturbs your location service
  4. Turn off Wifi and try to use personal hotspot - which usually guarantees a local ip
  5. Try using Chrome browser instead of Edge or Firefox
  6. Try use different devices, including iPad, iPhone Mac or PC
  7. Try using different locally issued bank cards
  8. Try using Apple Pay on iPhone

If all of these doesn’t work, finally and only try: delete your acc, creat a new account using your same local phone num (notice only 2 acc can be registered under this num). If this new account also cannot be topped up, there’s nothing else you can do now.

Though usually doesn’t replied, can try to drop an email to support@openai.com or their help chat-box.

During waiting, three alternatives:

  1. Build your own ChatGPT WebUI using text-davinci-003 api as backend, which works much better than gpt-3.5-turbo. You can find official ChatGPT WebUI on GitHub, as well as many other good clients.
  2. Try Claude, which is the best alternative so far. (Though still far from GPT-4 performance)
  3. Register new account when you travel in US.

Can’t seem to pay mines either, it keeps saying “Oops! We couldn’t pay this invoice, please report this issue if it persists.”, Which lead me here.

Same issue here. Tried 4 cards; none worked. 3 company accounts, 1 personal one; all with sufficient funds.

Country is the UK; didn’t use any VPN.

has there been a fix here? my api access is suspended because i owe $5.00. Take my money!

@logankilpatrick I am UK resident however OpenAI billing won’t accept my cards. I have tried 4 different working cards and still having issues. Please can your team look into this? I also still have $18 of unused credit that i haven’t been able to use. Such a shame that I have been able to trial the API. Need access for some projects we are running at our company.
