Strangely enough, I resolved it by logging into my account on the iPad and adding content under the chat that didn’t work. Then I checked my PC and it worked as normal. Ok for 24 hours now!
I dragged out my old laptop to do a HAR but laptop works fine but all mobile devices oops error, I cleared cache uninstalled app etc. PC on chrome works fine mobile on chrome won’t work.
I literally just finished signing up. Why did I sign up? Because I wanted to create a custom GPT. And I can’t. Will this be fixed or are you going to leave your customers in the lurch? Where can I request a refund?

If anyone in the thread can add details on browser, etc. or get some console logs for us, that would be appreciated.

Same thing here, for about a week.
I am unable to edit or create new GPTs.
Error in different networks.
Error in different browsers.
Error without browser plugins.
Oops, an error occurred!
Always the same error.
I should also mention, that if I manage to see MY GPTS, there is a huge list of Untitled GPTs that I presume must represent every time I clicked on “create a new gpt” and then got the dreaded error. Clicking on them, or on editing them, shows the same error. Oops, an error occurred!
Hearing we might have more details soon.

I’m having the same error message for my GPT as well and seriously need this corrected. Is there any estimated up time as of yet??
UPDATE: This seems to be working now.
Not for me I still get the same error message
It’s working, after 5 days watching this (and dying a little every day)… … this is what I did:
- Log out
- Clear the cache
- Close Chrome
- Open Chrome
- Login
I am now going to download my Prompts so I can transplant them if this happens again…

Yes clear cache and it should fix it. They seemed to have resolved it so far on my end, knock on wood.
This is what fixed it for me: Opened ChatGPT on my iphone, and just typed “test” into my custom GPT (on the iphone). Then everything started working again on the laptop.
I received this error across three different laptops and have been down since the 8th. I used a friends computer who was able to create custom GPT’s just fine with his login, when i logged in with mine, it would throw the error.
I have no idea why this fixed it. But it did.
It works for me now too. No need to do any extra steps.
I’ve been dealing with this issue since the weekend. In the past I’ve tried clearing the cache, I’ve tried on mobile, Chrome browser and Windows app, and none of that has worked.
Here’s how I just got it to work for me:
- On the windows app I accessed my GPT profile: top right corner click on your initials, then under the settings panel go to Builder Profile.
- Next to name I toggled that off, and got an alert saying ‘complete your builder profile to publish GPTs’
- I re-toggled that button next to name, and then I added my LinkedIn to the profile.
After I did that and tried creating a GPT it worked. That seems super random to me, and guessing it was a fluke, but figured I’d share here as seeing other people flail these past few days is the only thing that’s kept me sane

Yup happening to me too. Seems to be a constant error with the platform. Why cant a multi billion dollar company have this fixed. Its been gong on for months. Annoyed, frustrated and angry. FIX IT!

Update: Still errors on a file upload…faith and trust is plummeting. Think im done with agents on this platform until an update.
