"Oops an error occurred try again" error every time I try to create Custom GPT

When I try to create one, it gives an error. When I go back to my Custom GPTs, there’s an Untitled customGT there, but when I try to edit it, I get the exact same error.

Has been occuring all afternoon (a few dozen attempts).

I’ve logged out and logged in.
No VPN or API calls.

Any help?

I’m getting this error as well. Chrome is updated. Closed the browser and reopened - didn’t fix it. Logged out and back in - didn’t fix it. And every time I click “Create New GPT” and get the error, it does create a GPT which then shows up in my GPT list as “Untitled”. But if I click on it to edit - I get the Opps, error again.

Try making a copy of your GPT then delete the one you have the error on? Can you do other GPT now try to make a blank like @vb did. I can’t recreate on my end both into store and link work for me. But the error may be in your GPT?

A few hours later, the error was resolved when creating and updating a custom GPT.

I hope it’s the same for you soon and will keep monitoring this topic in case it doesn’t.

I can’t do the same, 2 days ago I joined Plus and as soon as I went to use it the problem appeared. Thank you

I’m having a similar issue where i can create a gpt itself but configuring it is impossible every time i attempt to configure or update the gpt i get: , Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com. This has persisted for days now.

It has been like this since I last tried to create and edit my GPT on Friday. Still the same today, I hope it gets resolved soon! :frowning:

I’m having the same issue - been a Personal Plus subscriber for ~1 month but haven’t built a custom GPT before. When I go to now I experience the same issue as others:

  1. On Windows desktop → click my icon in top right and click ‘My GPTs’
  2. Select Create a GPT option as I don’t have any previous custom GPTs
  3. ‘Oops, an error occurred!’ message appears with a ‘Try Again’ button below. When I press that button nothing registers. If I refresh the browser it shows the same error message.
  4. If I go back in the browser to the previous page before the error message and then refresh my page I now have an ‘Untitled’ Custom GPT in there. If I try to edit it or click into it the same error message appears. Only thing I can do is delete it

I’ve tried restarting my browser, computer, and clearing the cache and history. Hopefully this gets resolved soon! :slight_smile:
