Urgent: "Create" Tab Missing in MyGPT

Hi OpenAI Team and Community,

I am facing an urgent issue with the MyGPT section of my account. I am processing in a custom GPTs. Until recently, I could use the “Create” tab in MyGPT to manage and update my GPT. However, the “Create” tab is now missing, and the only available option is “Configurer” (Configure).

Here are the key details:

1. I am logged into the correct account.

2. My ChatGPT Plus subscription is active and in good standing.

3. I’ve already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

Cleared browser cache and cookies.

Used incognito mode and different browsers.

Verified account and subscription status.

Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue. Without the “Create” tab, I cannot manage or update my custom GPT, which is critical for my ongoing project.

Could someone please assist me with restoring this functionality? If there have been changes to the MyGPT features or permissions, I’d appreciate any guidance on how to proceed.

A walk around is to copy instructions and work on them in a separate GPT instance and copy paste them directly to instructions block in configure.

Would you consider this workaround an optimal temporary solution for now, or do you see it as a stopgap while we wait for a more permanent fix?

Also, based on your experience, is there any insight into why the ‘Create’ section might be missing?

Stop gap. Just a way to keep training while we wait.

Who knows haha, last week it was the side bar and before that the entire “new gpt” system was wonky. It probably is a throw back to those.

Same here. It came back for one update and then disappeared again. I took the opportunity to back up all of my prompts as numbered google docs, which I hope I will never have to use, but I’m building that into my work flow going forward. hopefully functionality will return soon. In the mean time I am working in voice mode with AI to create prompt updates, copying and pasting them into a google doc. Each doc numbered sequentially and then will update the model when the functionality returns. In a way it’s at least comforting to know it’s not just my models that are affected. We were getting a lot of error saving draft messages yesterday.

Hi @_j other people can’t click on your editor it just takes us to ours
The create tab is gone the one next to configure on left side…

There’s a bunch of “create” buttons of different purpose - the one that is the concern here seems to be the GPT Builder tab (not what I would call ‘create’: Talking to the AI about how to fill out the fields for you.

Maybe it’s under review, trying to figure out how make it not immediately taken over by a GPT itself. Or, here’s a preview…:

No you can’t get to the create screen on left side only configure , left side @_j the GPT you can train in builder not configure but create tab on left side…

Everything was normal yesterday, and I also created a gpts. Today I found that this problem also occurred. I thought it was my personal problem.
