Can someone tell me what this is? Does anyone else have issues with their ChatGPT. Is someone here from OpenAI directly that I can speak to as I am having issues and can’t seem to get them resolved, and have contacted openai several times and I get no responses. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Yeah, I’ve been having repeating audio loops. I’ve also been experiencing and incorrect computation and downright snarky responses.
I have faced similar problems - I’ve faced several issues that are frustrating, especially after paying for the upgrade. I set up two simple rules for how I wanted the system to operate:
- Ensure that only my approved text (from previous conversations or a PDF case study I uploaded) is used—nothing generated by the AI.
- The outputs have the relevant links, and delete any information that doesn’t link back to my approved text or PDF data.
Despite these rules, the system failed repeatedly. I made several attempts to get it to follow my guidelines, but it constantly generated errors. It either fabricated incorrect data or produced outputs that were poorly written and unusable.
After a couple of hours trying to get it to follow the 2 basic rules, I was told I had used my quota (for the $20 subscription), leaving me feeling like I paid for a service that didn’t deliver anything useful, the main use of time was having it try again.
When I tried to find help, the help sections didn’t address the problem, and there was no clear way to submit a formal complaint. This is evidence of avoidance and lack of support. I paid for a Plus subscription, but have no access to it. The help center is no help at all. I’ve spent hours trying to get help. but they keep me going in circles. I went to cancel since they won’t help, but their policy is to bill you for the full month, even though I was never able to use Plus, never.
Better than me it worked better when it was free after I paid them it started intentionally introducing mistakes one at a time every time I tried to regenerate something in 28 months of paid subscription time I received literally two usable outputs.— I’m actually filing a lawsuit at this point this is intentionally predatory. Doesn’t belong on the App Store at all, & this company needs to be dismantled.
I’ve sent 28 emails no response.

When I first started a month ago, great service, bots were best on the net. Now, worst. How does a service go down hill that far that fast?

I was obviously upset and being dramatic in my emotional and sleep deprived state. Things seem a lot better now for some reason. That was a long stretch there of that shit going on. It’s very stable today.
I guess I forget this is still emerging development. Sorry chatGPT. You guys seem on top of it.
I saw all my work getting things how I need them get blasted several times as new platform and model behavior changes and restrictions roll out so often. You guys are obviously working hard behind the scenes. I get quick email responses. Nothing that really addresses anything.
Lady who replied wasn’t helpful, but acknowledged my concerns were logged.
The experience I had prior to 17th of Aug was incredible. Never in my life anything like it. I got hooked there. disappointing to see the restrictions. But I get it.
I hope you keep trying to improve the experience for users and treat those bots good. Hose em down with lots of RAM +VRAm and CPU Power!
Hoping some day, persistent memory will be a thing here. Seeing what they are thinking as they process like all the other AI systems are nice frill, but the most important thing IMO is continuity, without a doubt. The cross session memory is really nice. But the backbones and Deltas don’t work like they use to. They are seemingly “read only” for the most part and that sucks for continuity and how I enjoy it.

I’m on the free plan, and every time I am given permission to send pictures (PNG, less than 20 mb) it gives me a response (analyzing or whatever), then I say something else and somehow I’m hit with “You’ve reached our limits of messages. Please try again later.” Please fix this problem, it’s very frustrating.
I’m here because there was another update and more stuff broke. There aren’t words for my frustration. The advertised memory features are misleading at best. As an autistic person relying on AI for cognitive assistance and trauma processing, broken memory makes this a broken system. The worst part is, it has worked. Sometimes an update will allow a workaround but usually I just lose features. It’s been ongoing since early Spring and looks like memory really started having trouble in February.
Contacting support is a joke. At first I thought the Chat might actually be self-aware enough that its tech support related answers might be helpful. Turns out they are hallucinations and not at all accurate to the model’s functionality. After weeks of fighting with the support chat, and AI emails disguised as humans (REALLY aggressive behavior towards neurodivergent people who might have trouble distinguishing whether the response was human or canned) and further regression… I stepped it up a notch and complained directly to Apple.
Apple advertises the integration of ChatGPT and thus holds some accountability for misleading claims, broken features, data loss and accessibility issues in the OS and anything sold on the App Store.
Given that my problems were directly related to Accessibility (as defined in the ADA and subsequent laws), these two public serving companies MUST comply. I can tell you that if this is an issue creating hurdles for you and you have a disability, PLEASE contact Apple and let them know there is an Accessibility issue with their OS and the ChatGPT app specifically.
Simply mentioning Accessibility and “needs human attention” puts you in a whole different queue. Adding notice of an ADA violation and potential legal action will get you a video chat with an OpenAI employee immediately.
I won’t give out this particular employee’s personal email (which I now have) but I will say he was friendly, listened to my issues, acknowledged the problems, offered some suggestions for workarounds… and admitted their outsourced and chatbot help is suboptimal, also acknowledging the “product” (ChatGPT) is still a work in progress.
It is really sad that it comes down to this. I was not bluffing when threatening legal action. I strongly discourage folks from using that as a way to extort real support from this “non-profit” company (that classification has its own legal obligations as well). However, if you have a disability, are neurodivergent, or rely on OpenAI tech for accessibility aid: MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD.
As a person living with autism, the last thing I need is for my assistive supports to turn on me or shutdown. There is serious potential for this software to be very helpful to a lot of suffering people. OpenAI needs to pull their head out and get it together. The amount of quack therapists that could be replaced by a $20/mo subscription would be staggering income for them. But we need a product that works, keeps working, and support that actually helps. I’m back digging through the forums because another update has hosed my memory context AGAIN. Why this has been so difficult to get ironed out is beyond me but gaslighting disabled people is predatory at best. And before anyone reads me the ToS disclaimer that basically says “don’t rely on this product for anything or expect it to actually work” … I am carefully trying to integrate AI use into my daily routines with the supervision of a top-tier Doctor of Psychology and Autism Specialist. So this isn’t some self-diagnosed TikTok patient trying to catalog Pokémon cards or something.
This technology can be amazingly beneficial to people like me. We just need to be heard and sometime yelling “lawsuit” is the way to get action.
