“Hmm…something seems to have gone wrong” error

Hi,

Basically, whatever I do, I’m getting this error with GPT 4:
“Hmm…something seems to have gone wrong”

I tried to: clear cache, incognito mode, use different connection.

Using GPT 3.5 works

Does anybody know why?

Running into the same issue as well, waiting for a fix.

I am having the same issues, I tried all of these fix actions to see if it would help but had no luck:

  1. cleared cookies
  2. cleared browser history
  3. reloaded the browser
  4. changed the browser
  5. overloaded the computer
  6. opened a new chat
  7. tried it on another device
  8. tried to enable VPN (I have it turned off) on different devices
  9. tried to connect from another Internet
  10. logged out of chat.openai and logged in again

Same issue here, the Openai Status page didn’t reported it as an incident yet. It’s not running well

I am also having this issue, I first noticed it about 12 hours ago and it has persisted since then. I notice that 3.5 is working but 4 is not. I have tried it on multiple devices and browsers to no avail. Hopefully the status page updates soon to reflect this issue.

A quick workaround I’ve found is starting a new chat with gpt-4 and upload any picture by itself first. This fix the issue for a single new session but doesn’t solve it with your past or new conversations.

Is anyone from OpenAI planning to help? I am a paying customer, but it doesn’t seem to play any role. Considering to cancel my subscription and move on to another service, since I haven’t been able to use this one (tested across 4 different devices and multiple networks).

This is a patchwork solution, that doesn’t resolve the issue - any additional prompt to existing or starting new conversations does not work.
