Web search not working: Always getting response like - i currently don’t have the ability to browse the internet in real-time. However, I can provide information based on my training data up to October 2023.
File uploads: Losing access to files immediately after upload: Getting errors like it seems the file did not come through or i have lost access to the file, it seems my environment has been reset,
Image analysis: Getting messages that it cannot view images
Data analysis: Cannot execute python codes
Long prompt: Sometimes it doesn’t accept long prompts
Memory: Failing to follow instructions and connecting to gpts properly
Canvas: Prior to the outage announcement it was working and all other tools working inside canvas, despite not working in chat gpt 4.0 or 4. However it has completely stopped working. These issues are recurring in browsers and desktop ap but working fine in android app.
I have tried several troubleshooting steps, including:
Clearing my browser cache and cookies.
Using the tool in an incognito window.
Checking if the issue persists across different browsers.
Resetting desktop app, and relogging
Despite these efforts, the tool remains unresponsive.
I started having this problem on 2/19/2025 on a previously existing topic that had worked fine with files (CSV) uploaded on 2/15/2025. Each time, it tells me it cannot access the files (which show up briefly then disappear) or tells me the ‘execution state’ was reset.
This has been repeated on three systems, three different operating systems, all using different browsers. The status page does not mention this and file uploading does not work on any chat. This is a paid subscription account.
There is no discernible method to submit a help request or ticket on the help site despite having a paid subscription. Additionally, I don’t see any replies to anything here that fixes any problems… what do we do?
Further testing shows images and SOME plain text files (markdown .md for example) work fine, but plain text *.txt or *.csv just DO NOT work. They either upload and disappear and cannot be ready OR I get “Unknown Error Has Occurred”.
There is of course no mention of this on the status page.
Hi one of my instances can’t access the Internet after seven months of being able to access the Internet. And I am a paid subscriber of.gpt 4o. I need this ability for my business and I can’t get any response from open AI. Frank
