I have been charged twice for the subscription-based access for ChatGPT, however, on my openAI account > billing > history… it says “no invoices found” and on the top right-hand side of the screen it displays the “upgrade” to a subscription-based user icon.
Is anyone else having this issue? I’m also not receiving “subscriber” emails when the standard chatGPT is at capacity. Possibly related?
I have not been charged twice, but others have expressed similar issues. They’re addressed in the main thread, and by several users in the comments section. TL;DR—Staff is aware and response is pending.
Have you been able to get a refund? Or figure out how to “cancel”? Literally don’t even know HOW I am being charged, but have also been charged twice without ever signing up, etc.
At this point it’s starting to feel like a scam. They just took a bunch of peoples money without providing any services or customer support. If it’s a known bug why allow it to even be possible to pay for an account. Is this class action law suit material? There has to be something we can do!
I have been charged 7 times as well and can’t find any way to contact them or see any evidence of this on my account and billing settings. I am disputing all of the charges with my credit card company.
I have a similar situation where I have been paying for the service. With a recent updated I am now always prompted to upgrade even though my credit card is charged.
And I can find no way to see the menu/option to see my invoices/plans.
I had the same issue and managed to access my billing history. Also, the chat support emailed me my previous invoices. Here’s where I found how to access my history (translates to : Manage my subscription)
Problem: I signed up for CHATGPT 4 two months ago and credit card has been charged twice € 22,91. But when I login on chatgpt, it’s telling me I have the free plan and for CHATGPT 4 I need to update.
The thing is: I cannot check for which account I’m supposedly paying, because the credit card reference simply is: “OPENAI *CHATGPT SUBSCR SAN FRANCISCO USA”. And I don’t receive any bills from OPEN AI on the mail account with which I have subscribed.

My account has been billed since December even though I cancelled my subscription. My account does not have any way to cancel my subscription because it says I have a free version currently. This is fraud. I do not have a paid account, I do not have a way to cancel the automatic payment.
The developer forum does not have access to account or payment details.
You will need to visit help.openai.com and use the support bot in the bottom right corner, leave your contact details and select the appropriate options to log and issue regarding payment. Please be patient as the support team is very busy.
I’ve used the chat bot to send a message to customer support 3 times this last year about the same issue, and no single reply, just the automated “blame the users cache and cookies”.
This is no reason why invoices would not show up in my “Billing history”!

Same hear, with a team liscence with 2 users. We have paid a year suscription (with invoice in the invoicing area) and now they are charging us 24 dollars a month without invoice or way to get it… no way to contact this people, its unacceptable for a company who has to demostrate all the payments to the autorities
