$200 Paid account deactivated / deleted without notice

Has anyone else had an issue with ChatGPT login suddenly saying your account ‘has been deleted or deactivate’ for a $200 a month active subscription / paid account - without notice ? And is there anyone that can be contacted that’s human in customer service? I have been paying $200 for over a year (as I had important, irreplaceable “projects” in the chat folders). My $200 subscription still shows as active but when I went to login that’s the message I got.

:worried: Went to their forum and OpenAI and used their chat and A.I. chatbot - app totally useless!! I had a ton of really important documents / project folders in there. I thought by paying $200 a month - now for over 2 years, my work there would be safe. Definitely not worth paying for a service when it can be erased without warning. :pensive_face:

Firstly want to point out that this hasn’t happened to me, but I do understand that it is frustrating.

Unfortunately account/billing access issues are not something forum users can inspect directly.

I wrote a post yesterday in a similar thread about tips for contacting support and getting in contact with a human. With a few suggestions for keeping one support case active and making the escalation request as clear as possible.

That sounds really stressful, especially with important work tied to the account.

When you reached out to support, did you end up getting a case ID or confirmation email? If you have one, feel free to share it. I can try to check internally for any updates.

If not, I’d strongly recommend submitting a request through the official support form so it gets properly tracked by the team. Make sure to include:

  • the email tied to your account
  • billing details (since your subscription is still active)
  • the exact error message you’re seeing

yo bro look dont worrry, my workspace also got deactivated , just go to their contact us page, this page : https://help.openai.com/en, contact us using the floating icon chat with Bot, they will contact you within 24hrs, then u can give them full details they help with you to get back your account. Mine got recovered i talk with them, Peace
