When I log in to ChatGPT, I am prompted for a login failure and a message "something went wrong. please make sure your device's date and time are set properly"

same issue +1 , since weeks ago… please help

Same problem… Android 13 Samsung A23 '( Impossible to connect it

I keep getting the same error message. And when I try using the “Continue with Apple” or “Continue with Google” sign in options, I get yet another error message. Basically, I can’t sign in to the iOS app at all, even though I am able to sign in to the web version of ChatGPT. It’s been weeks. :frowning:

I have solved the issue with my Samsung Fold4:

  1. Uninstall the latest app.
  2. Download the latest 2023 version from Pureapk, avoiding the 2024 installation package.

Thanks a lot. It’s working after installing old version.

I can’t install an old version. My phone rejects to install xapk or apkm. Where can I download apk version?

I can’t login after last update:

Where can I download old versions of chat gpt

Issues related to logging in can indeed be very frustrating.

However, even in such cases, it is not recommended to install an older version of the app due to security reasons.

If the current version’s bugs are fixed, having an old version of the app could potentially lead to further problems.

Therefore, please make sure that your app version is always up-to-date.

Also, it might be a good idea to check the network-related issues that seem to be displayed.

It’s unclear whether everyone is facing the exactly same problem at the same time, or if the issues from old posts have already been resolved, but I hope that you can use the app in an accessible environment and that the bugs related to the app’s use will be fixed.

In many cases, I believe these are temporary issues.

For Android users, update your Play Store to the latest version and the problem will be resolved.
Tried and succeeded myself.

I have solved this problem! !

I tried many ways, such as changing the default browser, changing the account, changing the time zone and so on.

Finally, I found that I just need to find the installation package of Google play from the Internet, reinstall Google play, and then reinstall ChatGPT in Google play.

it doesn’t work at all - same error for weeks and I have tried everything to resolve it on my iOS device but nothing worked - it’s frustrating.

Same issue here on iOS.

Tried everything from logging in with email or apple id with same email, uninstalling, no VPN, deleting cache, wlan, without wlan, …

There are a few different issues which are being raised here. For the issue that includes DeviceCheckError in the error message, unfortunately I was told by OpenAI support that this is an issue that originate from iOS and there is nothing you can do other than raise the problem with Apple.

So do not expect a fix to your issue.

Very disappointing.
