Hmm…there a possibility that create tab is intentionally removed…
I found the release note (Nov 22) saying that * GPT Creator has an updated layout * and this will be applied to all chatgpt users over 2 weeks.

And when you look at the preview window, the default message has been changed to “Start by defining your GPT” which was not shown in the previous version.
It looks like we will be able to create a GPT like before but it should be done in a preview window. (Not working now though)

Preview window is the right side of builder it will not alter a GPT the create window does alter instructions, the create window is gone. You could always put instructions directly into configure instructions box but builder is the create chat window which is gone. They may be changing it but preview is an existing thing

It says that until you define it in the configure txt window or create window. If you try to type in the preview while it says “ Start by defining your GPT” the send 
will not appear
See no send, just put a letter in the text box
Letter H in instructions text box send is enabled , but it will not alter a GPT it is just a generation from “H”
For me too, since yesterday morning, the GPT Builder option has disappeared and I can’t improve My custom GPT. I contacted support. Open Ai Waiting for their answer.
It also affects the rest of the Custom GPT
Maybe I think.
I really hope they fix this soon, and We can be able to continue working on our projects.

Yeah~I’m very used to GPT and GPT editor. I,m fully understand what you mean.
It is probably an internal system error so the create tab will appear soon.
However, after disappearing the create tab, what I thought was it is still okay if the preview window can provide a feature of what we did in create tab.
In that scenario, we just need to use two sections instead of three sections.
Of course the name of preview window should be changed to be more clearly understanded by users.
That’s why I just mentioned “there’s a possibility”
FyI, I am the one who really wants to have create tab back again.

Yes and you would have to copy paste to configure instructions text box, if they make preview edit GPT instructions like create does we will have no way to test the GPT. Create changes the instructions, preview is a test window.
See I built this with copy paste. Create would o& wrote it directly to instructions
No what i meant was in preview window(probably new name) GPT will better understand users’s request
So GPT will distinguish whether it’s testing or creating by the context of user’s input.
So we can do creating and testing at the same time in the right section.
Anyway it’s just assumption with low possibility. I will just wait until create tab will appear again!
The usage count of gpts disappeared a months ago and it got back after three days. I believe we are in the same situation.

This is what the last big error was. It shows how they deal with errors. They did a great job IMO “oops error” I had it too lol. I have the create button issue too…

I am missing the Create Button as well - I reached out to support late last night and have not received a reply - when/if I do, I’ll try to circle back with an update if it applies to everyone. Our projects are in limbo as well - this is super nerve-wracking…gah!

I am also having this issue. I had this issue first last night, but this morning when I logged on it was back. This evening, it’s gone again. Does it have working hours? LOL. I also can’t upload any files to the Configure screen or to any chats/the actual main instances of ChatGPT.
Hoping for a fix soon as I was using this to develop tools for my workplace.

Oh gosh. This will be very challenging to continue to edit in this way. They will fix hopefully for the best way to use.

the mac desktop app is showing the same builder screen, same problem. for me. I have had a reply from @PaulBellow saying that the issue is being looked at.

There’s nothing we can do but to wait it to he fixed.
The rumor is that OpenAI will release new feature on 11/30 to celebrate the second year of ChatGPT’s launch. (Which is mentioned by Sam Altman in his X)
Probably this is the reason of many issue occuring at the same time. Let’s wait together!

Just checked again. I guess the Desktop app has updatet it self. Now i miss it also.
