Hi, I was wondering if anyone is facing an issue uploading images in chatGPT.
Mine keep saying, “Something went wrong.” Even if I refresh it, the issue persists.

Seems like a lot of people are seeing this. Over the past week or two I was seeing people post about this issue several times a day. Tonight I am seeing new posts about this several times an hour. Best bet is to report it as a bug: How to PROPERLY report a bug to OpenAI

yeah same. it says “unsupported attachment type”. Maybe it’s because i have an anxious attachment style lol /s

Not only image, excel, csv too. works with text file only.
On the mobile, it shows unsupported attachment type. On browser ““Something went wrong.” Even if I refresh it, the issue persists.”

SMh same here, there seems to be a bug, I am hoping they fix it asap. I really need to finish this project!!

Apparently, they have resolved the issue… about 10 minutes ago.

Seems like a wide spread intermittent issue but… here are some alt fixes, although this is probably a system issue and not you specifically.
Quick Fixes: First off, try closing the pop-up and moving to the next answer. This has helped some folks process images successfully.

- Clear your browser’s history and cookies.
- Switch to a different browser.
- Ensure your current browser is up-to-date.
File Tips:
- Use the correct file types like JPEG, PNG, or GIF.
- Check your file size—it shouldn’t exceed the max limit.
- Try exporting screenshots as JPGs instead of PNGs.
Extra Steps
- Disable any adblockers or similar extensions in your browser.
- Make sure your internet connection is stable.
- Log out and back into your ChatGPT account.
If none of these work… you can always try taking the cartridge out blowing into it several times and then putting it back in and powering on
