I’m facing a chronic problem in my chat gpt creating my own chatgpt, whenever I try to upload a file to his knowledge base, simply appears a message “Unable to load”. I found several people who had the same problem here, but it was solved in a matter of hours. I’ve cleared the cache, changed browsers and cleared the data. The funny thing is that when I log in with my private plus account, I can load normally, but when I log in with my company, I can’t load.
Did they have a solution or it just started working again?
Weird that one account would work and another not on the same machine…
Is it all file types?

Hi, Paul. They just don’t solve it, they just give you a ready-made answer. I’ve emailed them several times and contacted them via their automated chat. It’s a terrible thing for a company as big as this, and I’m in charge of the legal automation department. I’ve done all the tests I can. The files are the same.
Some probabilities:
- Network problem (but it should give error as ‘File upload fail.’)
- There could be a bug on ChatGPT at the moment check Status
- The file size problem. The maximum file size is 512 MB. Each file should contain no more than 5,000,000 tokens per file (computed automatically when you attach a file).
- Some files uploaded before this file, and storage is full
- On GPT builder, if you try to update GPT, before file completely uploaded. In the image below, sample1.pdf gives error if we force to update on GPT Builder.

I think some kind of network issue that is not showing up as reported yet. I haven’t been able to prompt effectively for the last 15 minutes; it keeps erroring.
Mastro, I’ve done all these tests. Still an error. The funny thing is that other people have had the same error and it was resolved a short time later. When I check the source of the error, I see that it’s from Open AI. But they don’t solve it, I contact them by all means and they don’t solve it
Marquita, the strange thing is that I’ve found reports on forums of people showing that it simply started working again after a few hours. Mine’s been like that for two weeks now.
My GPTS dont refer at all to my knowledge base its terrible, i pus some specific Law Article, aske him what is the Law article 111 from the knowledg base and he give me some non sens answer not even relativ to what i gave its crazy. non sens
When you use AI about Law or Policy with knowledge file, sometimes they talk with some common reference or general knowledge. We need to refine its instruction. You can find a sample below:

Hello, Molluscs and Masts. When I create in another work environment, it works normally. What’s extremely frustrating is that Open AI’s support doesn’t respond, they simply don’t provide any help. For a company of this size, they should have support. I’ve had this error 500 for two weeks now, and no response from them.

Let’s be real, something doesn’t work right. 100’s of posts on this issue across every forum on earth. I get that there are some basic guidelines but let’s be real, the entire community isn’t dumb. People that have battled this since day one have implemented every technical workflow on planet earth and yet, here we are. OpenAI needs to get this UI/UX issue sorted because if this many people trying this hard still have problems, that’s a product issue. Let’s go Open AI.
