Unable to create organization and support is maddeningly bad (this is embarrassing, OpenAI)

I just want to create a new organization. 2 weeks and no closer to any kind of resolution. Here’s my conversation with support:

We appreciate you pointing that out. The interface has recently changed, and the option may not appear under the profile menu in some accounts. Instead, you can access organization settings directly by visiting:

https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization

From that page you can create or manage your organization, configure billing, add members, and generate API keys.

If you still do not see the option to create or manage an organization from that page, please let us know and share a screenshot or screenrecording again of the full page view so we can investigate further.

And on the resulting page, there is no place I can find to create an organization (see attached screen recording).

Could you please escalate my request? It seems that the UI is not in sync with the help documentation.

I’m not sure what you’re asking for, as the organization does not yet exist – I’m asking for one to be created (with the name of “[desired name]”). My assumption is that OpenAI assigns us an ID within your system. Am I mistaken?

I must be honest, I am shocked that this process is still ongoing. Is there a support manager I could speak with?

Yes, I couldn’t find the option to create a new organization either!
This has already been escalated and we will keep you posted.

  1. Use new disposable email to create another OpenAI account;
  2. Invite your original email as owner;
  3. Take the invite and the organization ID, remove the other account as owner.

That’s a workaround to get OP unblocked but the option to activate the audit logs is apparently also blocked by this current redirect.

"We’re happy to confirm that your organization has been successfully created under your account using your preferred details. You should now be able to access and begin using it. If you haven’t already, please keep an eye out for any related invitations or access prompts."

Hi @OpenAI_Support ! I was happy to see that, but still in my account I can NOT see the new organization. I will reply back to the support email now saying this (perhaps I need to do something different to see the organization) – but in the event that the organization is not yet actually succesfully created, is there any way someone can call me?
