Unable to access OpenAI Platform despite being invited to organization

I was invited to an OpenAI organization using my work email (marwan@{company_domain}). Although I can see myself listed as a member in the ChatGPT admin panel. I do not have access to the OpenAI Platform

I did not receive any invitation email, and when I log in to the platform, I am not associated with any organization.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Manager sends an invitation to join the OpenAI organization using my email.

  2. I confirm that I appear in ChatGPT admin members list.

  3. I log in to platform.openai.com.

  4. Attempt to access organization features

Expected Behavior:
I should be able to access the OpenAI Platform and see the organization I was invited to.

Actual Behavior:

  • No invitation email received.

  • No organization visible in OpenAI Platform.

  • Unable to access platform features.

Troubleshooting Done:

  • Verified correct email address was used.

  • Checked spam/junk folders.

  • Tried logging in using different methods (Google / email & password).

  • Asked for invitation resend.

  • Confirmed presence in ChatGPT organization.

Impact:
Unable to access OpenAI Platform and proceed with required work.

As far as I’m aware, member management for ChatGPT and API organizations is handled separately. According to this Help Center article, you’ll need to be added to the API organization through the Members section in the OpenAI Platform settings:

If they need to add you to the API org, your manager can access that page directly here:
https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/members
