I work for a company that has an OpenAI API account. The admin sent me an invite to join the company organization. I accepted the invite from the link in the e-mail. During the sign-up wizard, I created a personal organization. I though it will be in addition to company organization, so I can use it for local projects before sharing with my team. However, after logging in, I can access only the personal organization and not the company organization. Logging out, clearing the browser cache and then logging back in did not help. I cannot accept a new invitation since I already accepted the first one using my company e-mail.
How can the admin or I make me join the company organization?
Hey sps, the owner sent me 2 re-invites, but when I click the link, it does nothing, because I already accepted the invitation using this e-mail as an account identifier. The problem persists after sign out and sign in. Are we missing something?
We’ve had an open ticket with support on this issue for months. The only workaround we’ve found is to have the admin invite you with an email from another domain
Just to report about the end of the saga, and point out an issue that may trick other people: The root cause of the problem was that the company I work in has two e-mail aliases per person - .org and .com. The invitation was sent to one, but the OpenAI new account wizard allows for entering an e-mail, and mistakenly I entered the second one. So despite accepting an invite from the organization my user was not listed in the org.
You must use the same e-mail address you were invited to in order to join an organization
The association of a user to an organization is by e-mail and not by some ID.
