Hello,
About a year ago, I accidentally accepted an organization invite from a spam email on the OpenAI platform. Since then, I have been unable to leave that organization, and there is no visible option to exit it.
Current situation:

I cannot access most organization settings

All sections show “Not Available”

Sometimes the UI shows “Failed to fetch role assignments”

I do not have permission to manage anything inside the organization

There is no Leave Organization button

The organization owner is unknown (likely a spammer)

OpenAI support told me they cannot remove me from the organization and suggested contacting the owner, which is not realistic in this case
This appears to be either:

a permission deadlock bug, or
-
a missing self-removal feature for organization members
From a security and UX perspective, users should always be able to leave organizations they joined accidentally.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Is there any workaround to force leaving an organization without owner interaction?
