This GPT is inaccessible or not found

I got this error message today. Haven’t used my account for a week, was fine before that.

“This GPT is inaccessible or not found. Ensure you are using the right account.”

When I find Chat GPT online then log in, with any action or request is tells me:

I cleaned the cash, used another browser, nothing changes, same error message.

Same here. On the macOS app also.
HELP, PLEASE!

Hey, that combo of errors usually points to an account/session issue rather than something on your device.

Can you check a couple of things for me:

  • Make sure you’re logged in with the exact email/account that originally created or had access to the GPT (it’s easy to accidentally use a different login method).
  • Instead of opening it via a direct URL, try going to Explore GPTs and accessing it from there.

Also, just to clarify:

  • Is this a GPT you created yourself, or was it shared with you?
  • Is this happening with all GPTs, or only this specific one?

That’ll help narrow down whether this is an account access issue or something specific to that GPT.

all my custom GPT have disappeared today, is there a reason? was workign a few hours ago and now its all offline

Hey @Lijing_Guo, we’ve seen a couple reports like this recently, so let’s narrow down what’s happening.

First, can you check if the GPTs are visible now? Sometimes this can be a temporary builder profile sync issue and they reappear after a short while.

A few quick things to check:

  • Make sure you’re in the correct workspace (bottom-left workspace switcher).
  • Try logging out and back in, or opening ChatGPT in a private/incognito window.
  • See if you can access any of the GPTs from old chat history links or previously shared URLs.

Also helpful to know:

  • Are all GPTs missing, or only the ones you created?
  • Can other members in your workspace still see them?

There was a similar report here, which caused GPTs to disappear until the backend synced again. If you can confirm whether they’re still missing now, we can help narrow it down further.

Today I’ve lost ALL of my custom GPTs.

No one other than me has access to my account, none of my employees see the custom GPTs I’ve built.

What is going on @OpenAI_Support ?

I’ve recently seen that have 30 people out of 28 seats in our business plan could OpenAI have canceled our membership because of that ?

I can create new custom GPTs either I get Internal Server Error

Hey @Philippe_Plourde, let’s narrow this down a bit before assuming anything was deleted.

A few things to check:

  • Are you in the correct workspace (bottom-left workspace switcher)?
  • Are these only the GPTs you personally created, or are all GPTs across the workspace missing?
  • Have you tried basic troubleshooting (log out/in, hard refresh, different browser)?

Also:

  • Can you access any of the missing GPTs directly from old chat history links/URLs, or are those failing too?
  • When you try to create a new GPT and get the “Internal Server Error,” could you share a screenshot of that screen?

If this turns out to be affecting only a specific GPT, then Support would need to review that directly. But if it’s workspace-wide, the details above will help determine what’s going on. Let me know what you find.

I was in the correct workspace.

Nor me or my employees could see my GPTs. These were all GPTs I had personally created. I logged in, out, cleared cache, logged in private window.

The problem wasn’t on my end since no one in the workspace could see the GPTs anymore.

I could not access them from previous windows/chat either, and couldn’t access the link previously shared with the team.

Fortunately, everything came back.

For others who may have this bug, there seems to have been a server problem with my builder profile. When I went into settings, my builder profile wasn’t accessible anymore.

Few hours later it came back, but it seems that on OpenAI side, my email wasn’t linked to my builder profile anymore which made my custom GPTs unavailable/hidden, and made it impossible for me to create new custom GPTs.

I’m still confused what could have caused it.

Wow, okay, that’s actually a really helpful data point.

If your builder profile became inaccessible at the same time the GPTs disappeared, that strongly suggests this wasn’t deletion or seat overage, it was likely a backend sync issue between your account and your builder profile.

Glad it came back, definitely sounds server-side. Thanks for sharing the update, that’ll help others if they see the same thing.

Mine are back and it took me finding an old chat link and going through there. Though I would say some are inconsistent. I have separate gpt on another account and that was fine

For what reason do people refuse to make backups? Is it really that difficult? And I truly cannot fathom how larger companies can work with AI without vector databases… even I, a lone-wolf local AI programmer, understood that this is an absolute foundation. A backup is the cornerstone of security!

I am not a developer nor an IT person. I use this GPT as assistant for writing reports. Very simple. I can see all my previous reports, it is just not taking any new orders. Although I am a subscriber.
