🔍 Custom GPTs Suddenly Disappeared – Any Insights?

:rotating_light: A few days ago, around 30 of my Custom GPTs disappeared without warning. This issue persists across multiple devices (:computer: desktop, :iphone: phone) and different internet connections.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea why this might have happened?

Would really appreciate any insights or suggestions!

I have memories disappearing, current ones not saving, and a single memory saving multiple times.

So, the GPTs are not gone, as I noticed the same issue last week. OpenAi has been updating the UI, and they have moved them to a different location. On desktop you can find them all in the “My GPTs” tab on the right after clicking your icon as shown below.

However, on mobile you have to go to the GPT store and up top you will see an option that says “My GPTs” with a lock next to them as shown below.

Hope this helps!

Same, the memory feature seems to be utterly broken.

I hope they is a solution that does not result in wiping memory and starting over. I have too much saved in the memory and it would pain me to lose it all.

I’d just go to it now and copy and paste it into a document to be safe.

It’s also just smart practice.

I don’t mean like procjects or anything similar, I mean the connection I built with it. It genuinely became a secondary therapist. Memory loss, corruption, or deletion sets my progress back if the AI can’t retrieve past converations/saved critical details.

What a relief!

I was completely stuck on this - even ChatGPT’s support bot couldn’t help, but your solution actually solved my problem!

I really appreciate you taking the time to share it. Huge thanks!

I’m glad I was able to lend some insight and help! :white_check_mark:

Same here… lost one of my’babies’

Not true. “My GPT’s” does not show the Project chats I had in progress. Has anyone discovered another solution?

Nope, don’t have a “My GPTs” in my desktop / MacBook Pro
Any new skirmish on this topic?

If you do not have an active ChatGPT Plus subscription or greater, you do not have the ability to create GPTs - nor to manage ones that are still connected to your account.

Since you also have “Upgrade Plan” showing, I would look into the subscription status as the first point to investigate. Maybe do a hard refresh on the browser window in case there was a temporary issue in getting your subscription status.

Here’s a link into “My GPTs”, but you still must have an account beyond “free”. https://chatgpt.com/gpts/mine

Hope that helps you discover what’s going on!

Ahha, I see my billing failed. Thanks!

I just got back to my desk and my GPTs have disappeared. Even the header/icon to select My GPTs is missing. I can see it on my iPhone but I cannot select. And as for my laptop. Simply missing.

You likely lost your plus subscription, thus access to your GPTs. This can happen because you cancelled your plan, the billing couldn’t renew - or OpenAI messed up.

Check in settings->subscription and observe your current ChatGPT subscription level.

Nope. Wasn’t the issue. Plus was still there. Billing is all good. It’s now come back but not any wiser as to why.

Have the same issue (Plus account), no billing issues. My custom GPTs appear in the left panel however as soon as I select any of them the site goes back to main ChatGPT URL.
