I am a ChatGPT Plus user, and I’ve been experiencing issues with the voice feature on the iOS app. Every time I try to use the voice functionality, I receive the error message “Connection failed. Tap to retry.”
Despite multiple attempts and checking my internet connection, the issue persists. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Same issue with my Iphone xr and my Ipad air (5th gen). I did notice a background message saying ‘connection failed’ Allow live activities from ChatGPT?.. I select ‘always allow’… and nothing changes.
Mine is solved now. Discovered that my internet connection was too slow for the voice chat to work. Try connecting to a faster connection (maybe wifi) and it should work. Otherwise, make sure your app is updated to the latest version and restart your device.
Same issue on Mac and iPhone. Worked initially yesterday morning on the Mac, then didn’t work anytime thereafter. Worked earlier today on the iPhone once, then stopped working. I installed the available update, rebooted, etc., but to no avail.
Same problem. Also a subscriber. “Connection failed, click to retry” message on phone and computer. My wifi is fine. Worked late last night, then again this morning, but not since. I’m wondering if their servers are just overloaded, but I have a friend with a similar hookup who doesn’t have a problem logging in at all.
Same issue for me for the last 5 hours. Interesting that this was working right up until the latest update 5hrs ago. 1.2024.133
I’m a paid plus user. This was the main reason for paying. I feel like asking for a refund if it’s not working soon. I know it’s a new feature so likely to have a few bugs but still.
Yeah, mine finally kicked in and started working as well. I do think it’s overloaded on their end. So, I guess the solution is to be patient and wait for your turn if you get that message.
I’m having the same issue too, and I’m a free user. My internet connection is strong, but I still tried to use it on cellular data too but I got the same response. I just reinstalled the app, and nothing’s changed. I’m still getting the same message saying “connection failed”, can someone help us out?
