When using ChatGPT and talking to it in the IOS app, the audio when it talks back to you is choppy and buggy and most of the time I miss things it’s telling me because I can’t hear what it’s saying.
As more and more users start to use ChatGPT, how will Open AI address and fix this big issue with the voice chat audio being constantly interrupted and having choppy issues that make the assistants voice unclear?

I also have this issue. The voice is frequently breaking up. I have an excellent high speed connection. Other audio does not break up such as Spotify and Siri.

Me too. The audio cracks or fades out every 5 seconds or so. It is very distracting.

Me too. Please address this issue , it’s making the voice chat feature unusable, I thought it was wifi playing up but also found that via 4G the same choppy audio problem arising.
Also having this issue.
Voice is the primary reason I pay for my plus subscription so for it not to work well is extremely annoying.

I also experience this routinely on iOS 17.61, both when using wifi and 5g.

Same issue here. This goes through all app versions and iOS versions I tested. Please OpenAI, this is nerve wracking.

Same issue, frustrating that the choppy, broken contents are unusable. This bug showed up for me with the upgrade to the blue sphere icon. This feature (voice dialogue) is one I use the most to interact with ChatGPT - now futile.
I realized that the choppiness and incoherence of the audio is the result of ChatGpt listening to itself and thereby interrupting itself. If I look at the transcript of the audio dialogue there is the evidence: it stops because it hears itself as if the user was jumping into its answer. This bug should be fixable. Over to open.ai to address it.

I agree that part of the problem is ChatGPT hearing its self. Super annoying. Possibly also reducing microphone sensitivity when speaking. I often feel that this makes the audio chat almost unusable for quick speaker question asking. When using earbuds I can chat in Spanish till run out of advance voice model time and I barely hear a stutter…. Please fix this!!

This is still an issue. I am super disappointed in this still not being fixed. I pay for a plus subscription but I have gotten increasingly frustrated with Chat GPT this past half year or so. It’s absolutely not okay when you pay for a plus subscription that you can’t properly use the voice chat…… it may be worse when switching to 4o (but it was not an issue when 4o was the main model so..)
It’s absurd that it hasn’t been fixed. Definitely beginning to consider a different AI provider
