Platform email confirmation not working

I am also facing the problem that I can no longer log into my account and make any changes to it. Unfortunately, so far I have only received automated responses from the support teams, which seem to repeat themselves in an endless loop. There is no communication whatsoever on the website. I have therefore decided to switch to Azure OpenAI.

I have the same problem with Apple SSO. I asked Open AI for help and got some bot replies. And it’s not helping.

This really annoys me because I can’t revoke my Open API key without login.

Has anyone even manage to actually get pass the “Enter the verification code” page? its been almost a month since we encountered this issue and unable to get the email.

Support bot isn’t helping, there’s no way for us to do escalation on the issue as well.

@jahfed are you able to access the platform now or is it still not solved for you as well?

Unfortunately not solved yet. I will search for a phonenumber or other way to contact this week. Meanwhile I opened another account with gmail which works fine. Still the issue has to be resolved since no one can access their subscription. If anyone has a lead to a phonenumber or email of OpenAI (other than the usual communication) I could use, please share.

Ps. the last and a bit more normal email I received is from 26th of november with the promise it has now been put in the hands of the tech-team. However it feels like most of the communication department is being run by AI.

No solution was found. I requested the deactivation of the account linked to the APIs and asked for a refund of my credit. Then, I created a new API account using a Gmail address without SSO.

Did you get a refund or did they act after your request?
I thought that the credits are non-refundable?!

If so, where did you requested the refund?

I requested the refund myself, but I haven’t been able to log in for two weeks. I hope they resolve the issue soon. However, by modifying POST requests, I managed to access the account, but since I can’t change the email, it keeps prompting me for email verification every time. As a result, I decided to close the account and request a refund due to OpenAI’s failure to address such a serious issue.

I have been in contact with a representative from OpenAI regarding this issue and have shared our conversation with them for reference.

An working solution for this problem is to use this link for login:

https://platform.openai.com/login?auth_provider=auth0

This works for me and I can login to my account again!
I think they will fix this soon as this might simply be a problem with the URLs.

Got the same link today and it worked for me too. Also just want to say that I did het support within an hour of raising the issue including the follow up when I said their check spam boilerplate wasn’t the issue!

They have identified the root problem and are working on a solution!

Super! it is solved thanks to the OpenAI team and also the awareness created by all the people in this (and other) posts!

So, the support chat is basically useless and the actual support “channel” will stay like “Make enough noise in the community forums” in case such an issue happens again?

Sadly, it does not work with me still. Stuck on the “Check your inbox” verification code page with no email received.

Any way for us who are still stuck to escalate our issues? it has been a month since most of us lost access.
