Organization Verfication failed after identity verification

During the Organization Verification, I provided my passport, and it was accepted, but then I needed to provide a selfie. After the selfie was taken, I received the message that the identification could not be matched. Now the photo in the Passport is a bit old, and we are all getting older by the day, so it’s a possibility. But I can’t really do anything about it.

What made this situation worse is that I can’t even try again. Every time I tried to reopen the URL, I get the message ‘Session expired’ and I can’t even regenerate the URL.

Please help me with this situation.

I am experiencing the same issue.
If anyone has the answer, I would appreciate it if you could share it.

same thing. i was looking at old chats and basically someone from Open AI will eventually say mail them which isnt helpful. we all have uniqe cases a but a valid passoport should work. mine also now is locked out.

Session expired

Please restart this process or request a new link to continue.

same issue, does anyone at the @OpenAI_Support team care at all?

Trying to get in touch but seriously poor support so far from these guys!

I agree and same issue. How can we get ones shot to approve and that fails with no explanation then you get locked out? This sucks! I am a legit person paying money for credits and it has valid US passport.

same issue, I’m experiencing it also, how can I get a new link?

Yes same issue @OpenAI_Support can you please look?

+1 here. So frustrating. It accepted passport and face scan, then said failed and session expired, request a new link. There is a refresh button on the organization verification page, but it generates the same link.

Big limitation, please help!

@OpenAI_Support i just did it again with my japanese drivers license and same thing. that means my US passport and my Japanese drivers license dont work. it scans then you do the face back and forth then it just pos up. after this you are locked out.

what the heck? this is not fair, we are paying customers with API access.

This seems to be an @OpenAI_Support bug.

We have a tier 3. It rejected after a UK passport and face scan.

I presumed this was my fault somehow (developer mindset), so tried the link refresh button. Not working, returns error in console log from the endpoint as someone else clarified.

I created a fresh account, loaded with money and attempt a new verification, this time with different ID and ideal lighting conditions. Same result. (ie, save your money.)

The issue is that Persona don’t seem to be able to identify people and OpenAI have no way of regenerating the identity link.

facing the same issue ! tier 3 user

same issue in here, too.
Could you help to regenerate the link?

:white_check_mark: For the record, I had the same issue. I’ve invited my wife as an Admin, and she was able to verify the organization with her ID. Hope this helps!

That’s great of you to share, thank you, MediaPublishing!

Unfortunately this didn’t work for me. (I don’t have a wife… lol… but also I tried other IDs, other modes of verification, still a fail; so there are clearly bugs in the Persona system, and zero way to communicate this with OpenAI except us all reporting it here!)

I am having the same issue. The strange thing is that, as individual user, I am “verified” and I have access to all models in Chat GPT. But I need also to verify my organization to access the same models through API…Any body knows how to regenerate the verification link ? Thanks in advance for your kind help

Is there any way to contact support by mail or by phone ? Is @OpenAI_Support all we have ? Sorry for asking such a naive question, but I cannot find anywhere how to submit this thread’s issue to support.

Not from what I can find. They only have support for billing-related issues, everything else is down to a wing-and-a-prayer via this forum.

I guess the hope is that more people will bump up this thread, and they’ll realize that there’s some issue in the Persona setup.

BTW, you can click the question mark button (bottom left at platform.openai.com), describe your request, and an AI agent will tell you they’ll note the request.

I did that some days ago; no post-AI response. Others have done it for 2+ weeks, same outcome.

Thank you for your kind answer. I will try. I do not expect any reaction. But its worth to try. I am thinking to cancel my account and then recreate a new account. It is annoying, because I will loose my credit. And will need to export all my conversation. But being blocked from using newer models trhough API is devastating my activity and will bring me greater losses. Really sad…

I tried that, as did someone else on the forum, and - alas - it didn’t work.

It seems if validation fails for one person, it fails regardless of the account.

Feel free to try, just didn’t want you to waste any money
