Dear OpenAI Support Team,
I’ve been dealing with an ongoing issue for over a month now regarding my access to the o1 pro model. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, the problem persists, and I’m still encountering model switching during my sessions. Specifically, I start a session with o1 pro, but during the session, models switch randomly — I get responses from o3 mini or even GPT-4, and the chain of thought display is inconsistent, showing o3 mini’s style instead of o1 pro’s. This behavior is not what I expect from a premium model like o1 pro.
Here’s a summary of the troubleshooting steps I’ve already taken:
- Two different accounts (I suspected my main account might be compromised).
- Three different browsers (to eliminate browser-specific issues).
- Two different internet connections (to rule out IP-related problems).
- Two different computers (to rule out hardware-specific issues).
Despite all these efforts, the issue remains unresolved. At one point, OpenAI did reset my backend cache, but that only worked for two days before the problem came back. Since then, I’ve tried everything — and it still doesn’t work.
To be clear, I’m not some random user who doesn’t know what cookies are. I’ve worked in QA for many years, including as a QA lead, and I’ve done extensive debugging on my end. I’m well-versed in troubleshooting issues like this, and I’ve followed all the necessary steps to resolve it myself.
This problem is severely affecting my ability to use the service efficiently. I am paying $200 per month for o1 pro, and I expect this service to work properly. Just 2-3 months ago, I was actively helping OpenAI improve security filters, but what did I get in return? A simple “thanks,” with no discounts, perks, or any form of acknowledgment. I don’t even expect anything now, but I do expect to get what I’m paying for — uninterrupted access to the service.
I’ve already reached out to support multiple times, but the responses have been inadequate, and the issue persists. I need a proper solution and I need it now. Enough of this.
Please investigate this issue immediately and provide a resolution.
