Issue with External Links to Custom GPTs Redirecting to ChatGPT and Causing Errors

Hello everyone,

I recently launched a website where I list custom GPTs I’ve created, with direct links to each one to provide easy access for my users. However, I’ve encountered an issue: when users click on these links from their computers
(the mobile are fine), they’re redirected to ChatGPT website directly on the page of the selected custom GPT, but as soon as they try to start a conversation, an error message appears:

“Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help-openai-com.”

Oddly enough, when I access these GPTs through the ChatGPT store itself, they work perfectly without issues.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I’m wondering if there have been any recent changes to OpenAI’s settings or a logic update that might restrict access to custom GPTs when opened from external sources (such as links from my website) rather than directly from the GPT store. This issue is affecting my user experience significantly, as it disrupts access to my custom GPTs.

Hi everyone,

For anyone who has been following this topic, I finally found the source of the bug. It was coming directly from the browser (Google Chrome in this case), specifically from the cache and cookies. I cleared them, and everything is back to normal.

So, if any of you encounter a similar problem in the future, here is the solution.
