I’ve been using ChatGPT Plus to generate DALL·E-style images for a long-running project. As of April 18, image generation has completely stopped working — every attempt silently fails. No output is generated, and there are no error messages. Text and code functions work fine.
I’ve tried multiple prompts (including ones that worked before), restarted the session, and confirmed the issue is still present more than 24 hours later. The system doesn’t crash — it just gives no result.
I’m having similar issues. After Dall•E 3 was released, I kept having to go directly to the Dall•E window to render images using Dall•E 2. Then, for a few weeks, Dall•E 3 worked, well enough, in the direct ChatGPT interface but now it’s tough getting images in either place. And character similarities? Poof. Nada. I have been able to get Dall•E to play pretty nicely regarding keeping characters in short storyboards and scenes staying similar in their appearance. As of about 2 days ago, I haven’t been able to get Dall•E to do that anymore. If you’re writing a book or script or anything remotely similar and use Dall•E for imagery or storyboarding ideas, this is a tough time. I hope OpenAI can flesh out the new version soon! 
I love the stuff I’ve been able to work with in Dall•E.

Yes, I’m also having an issue generating images. It stopped working last night, and is still not working 12 hours later… if you go to status.openai.com, it says image generation is fine BUT all kinds of other issues are occurring, so it seems like things are a bit chaotic at the moment…
They reset my DNS (or something like that) and it has been working since. Use the chat on the support page and they’ll check it.
same here - constant image generation errors.. has enyone been able to have this resolved yet? I’ve sent in a request via the chat bubble…

I’ve had constant failures over the last 2 weeks. I’ve only been able to generate 4 images in that time because ChatGPT times out repeatedly, and then that is counted towards my limit.
Have the same problem right now. Image generator not working. Tried different models: 4o, 5.1, just infinite loading indicator
