I was in the midst of an image heavy project when I got this message:
You’ve hit the plus plan limit for image generations requests. You can create more images when the limit resets in 720 hours and 0 minutes. Until then, I can still help you: Refine prompts, Plan compositions, Create SVGs or layout files manually, Mock up layout guides for exports.
I wasn’t given any alternative for creating more images; no upsell for an image subscription, no way to buy more images or pay for them with each generation. I tried to use the API, but the same prompt on the API gave dismal results. I was told that prompts given to chatGPT are processed to make better results, but not given the specifics of how that was done. I have lost confidence in using chatGPT for important matters, since it appears services can just disappear with no warning and no recourse. I searched for a way to put in a ticket, as was suggested by chatGPT, but apparently that doesn’t exist.
Feature requests:
A way to officially enter feedback via the ChatGPT interface and get a trackable ticket number. Perhaps this needs to be a ChatGPT plus (extra) plan. The jump from amateur to pro, or 20 to 200 dollars a month, seems a bit excessive.
Release actual guidelines on prompting for a successful image, as is done in chatGPT post processing
Have a context token indicator in conversation windows, so that users know when the model will begin to drift.
When resources, such as image generation are arbitrarily limited, have an indicator so that users know what to expect.
Provide an upsell for image generation past the current chatGPT plus limit. This could be a one time charge for the month to cover computing time, or enabling a per image charge, etc.
What I don’t find acceptable is being cut off in a project that is important to me, abruptly, with no way to fix it.
