I’m a Plus user and have been experiencing a serious issue with the image generation feature in ChatGPT.
My access to image generation has been restricted for over 60 hours (as of this writing), and despite multiple support conversations and following all advice (device, browser, account troubleshooting), the restriction has not lifted.
I have been told that this should resolve automatically within 24–48 hours, but that has clearly not happened.
Support has confirmed:
• This is not due to a violation or excessive use
• I am not penalized or throttled
• The restriction is likely due to a rare system bug
• There is no way to trigger a reset or escalate the case
I understand there are limits, but going without access for nearly 3 days with no resolution, no communication, and no way to escalate is deeply frustrating—especially for creators who rely on this feature.
I’m not asking for a refund. I’m asking for fairness, transparency, and a real fix.
Please let me know if others are experiencing this too—or if anyone has had success getting image generation restored after an extended block like this.
