I need some help. I received an email from Open AI with the subject “Access Terminated”. What does this mean?

hello. I need help from Open AI developers. I received an email from Open AI with the subject “Access Terminated”. What does this mean?

Does this mean that my Open AI account (or Chatgpt account) has been completely deleted for violating our usage policy?

Even when I try to log in to Open AI, I get the message “You do not have an account because it has been deleted or deactivated. If you believe this was an error, please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com.” This message just pops up and I can’t do anything.

The customer service center at help.openai.com and the message in the upper right corner do not respond at all.

What should I do?

You may need to wait for their official response or you can try creating a new account with different id and number.

As mentioned several times before, you need to go to help.openai.com, but there’s likely not a way for you to recover your account.

Please don’t delete this thread and start another thread if you’re not happy with the answer. Thanks!

I am a Korean user who posted last time that my account was unfairly blocked due to an error in ChatGPT.

No matter how many times I appeal through the help center and email about my account being blocked for an unintentional usage policy violation due to an error in ChatGPT, I only get the same response.

I have never knowingly violated the Terms of Use and Terms of Use, and despite numerous explanations that it was an error in ChatGPT that mistook me for inappropriate content, OpenAI support has never listened to me.

I haven’t been able to do anything for several days because my ChatGPT account has been blocked.

What should I do now? Please someone help me…

This is the developer forum, we are volunteers who do not work for OpenAI, we have no ability to change your account or make decisions on bans.

I am a Korean user who posted last time that my account was unfairly blocked due to a ChatGPT error.

I disputed and appealed several times through the Help Center and email that my account was unfairly blocked due to an entirely unintentional violation of the usage policy caused by an error in ChatGPT.

But, they haven’t listened to me at all and are only reversing their stance that they will not reconsider deactivating my account.

Therefore, I am now considering seeking help from a dispute resolution service, legal advice or consumer protection agency. But as a non-US citizen, I have no idea what to do or how to solve this problem.

Please can someone help me?

Any method is fine, so please let me know if it might be better!

if i was you, i would apply for a job with openAI Careers at OpenAI they will Ancer more questions when u get an N.D.A or email someone and ask them here emmett.shear@gmail.com

I’ll recommend making a new account, posting on the developer community forum won’t help, my best advice would usually be to contact help.openai.com, but if that doesn’t work for you I’ll recommend you take a look at the terms of service.

This won’t help you, as you already agreed to the terms & conditions when you signed up:

You and OpenAI agree to resolve any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services, regardless of when the claim arose, even if it was before these Terms existed (a “Dispute”), through final and binding arbitration.

You can find more information here.

Hope that helps
