I experienced this bug today, when I tried to refresh (re-upload) a data (txt) file to the custom GPT. Seemingly the upload did happen, but after I save and refresh the page the data file simply disappears. Also when I tested the GPT it’s obvious that it has no access to datafile.

I also experienced this problem today. It was also a simple .txt file, and it works for one iteration, but then I open up the backend to do further edits and the file as well as Capabilities tickers that I previously “saved” are no longer there or represented.
If anyone finds a solution to this, would love to hear it.

It’s the same not only for knowledge files, but also for capabilities. E.g. I can’t save “Web Browsing” capability - it’s checked, I “save” or “update”, and then either files disappear (there are 2 short text files) or capabilities unchecked. After few attempts I managed to keep the knowledge files, but they are ignored. One capability seems to be checked - “Code Interpreter”, but not “Web Browsing”. I assume it’s a bug and is going to be fixed soon.

I would say most likely it’s a development in progress, which broke the current functionality, for the time being we need to pause the dev. of GPTs
I think they may have fixed the problem now
Yes, looks like they just introduced a new version of GPT and the GPT build process has become more stable.

This is happening to me now. The uploaded file disappears. I edit, update, and then go back to edit gain and the file is not there. worse, the gpt then hallucinates answers without warning
