I have a Chat GPT 4o account
The functionality of the tool seems to have changed. Whereas before, we were able to attach long documents of 100 pages or more (in PDF or txt), and receive an accurate analysis of the most important points, summaries, or locate specific points and then confirm the information in external sources, now Chat can’t even read the documents, regardless of size or format.
I would like some support to solve this problem.
I’m experiencing the same issue! I also used to be able to upload long documents (PDFs or DOC or TXT files) for analysis, but now ChatGPT isn’t even able to read them, regardless of the format or size.
I’ve been in touch with OpenAI support, and they suggested trying different browsers, clearing cache, and testing in incognito mode, but the problem persists.
Unfortunately, they’ve not been able to resolve the issue yet, and I haven’t been able to upload attachments either. Hopefully, OpenAI can fix this soon.

I’ve had the same problem since 1st Dec 2024. I just renewed my account and was very disappointed with 4.0 version. Before 1st Dec, it worked well with reviewing and analyzing academic papers which are part of my job.
There’s no point for me to subscribe this service if it cannot function well.
I even tried to open ChatGPT from a new virtual machine. It’s 100% not a browser cache issue. However, uploading files from an iOS app is still working for me.
