Error Unusual Activity GPT4 WEB

Just noticed today an error when translating a message into a different language (the message was quite simple it was about food preferences) it returned the error: “Unusual activity has been detected from your device.”

Just thought would update the community in case you will get this error too.

UPDATE 5/13/04:
It seems it fixed automatically, so at least for me it was just a temporary issue. But if you’re still having this issue before trying to press regenerate or starting a new chat, I suggest clearing the cache before retrying.

I am having the same issue, not on 3.5 but in 4.0.

I’m a ChatGPT Pro user and getting the same message. When I try to regenerate the prompt, I am also getting this message “Unusual activity has been detected from your device. Try again later. (880a555898eb77a8-LHR)”

I’m getting this constantly at the moment :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Yup! It seems there was and there is actually an ongoing issue to be fixed, so probably I think this error was somehow caused by these errors that are being investigated/fixed in this moment.

Just checked the updates of Open AI Status.

How can it be fixed? How to make this problem disappear?

I’m also getting this all the time, and for at least a week, and I’m a ChatGPT Plus user.
This is too annoying and time consuming, please OpenAI, fix it as soon as possible!

Seeing the same thing consistently. Plus the view freezes quite often.

Apparently they simply do not have enough server capacity, and they simply came up with this error to mislead users. Now it crashes other time for me.

I am having the same issue with my custom GPT:
Unusual activity has been detected from your device. Try again later. (883106452d380204-ZRH)
1 week now, everyday! And I paid for it?

I have the same issue since three to four days. (88317c0cbbf59f20-FRA).

When I regenerate my prompt, it works most of the time, but sometimes I have to regenerate two times to submit it.

The same issue.
Today and yesterday.
“Unusual activity has been detected from your device. Try again later.”

same for me it says Unusual activity has been detected from your device .

Unusual activity has been detected from your device. Try again later. (8831f51faeeb5cf9-MAD)

I’m so angry about this!! It keeps appearing, and I pay for this service

It’s getting frustrating. Especially since the site and GPT-4 are getting longer and longer, fix it as soon as possible.

Been having this for a few days and tried all troubleshooting steps.

Does anyone know of a solution?

The issue persists. And after struggling to generate about 15 images, I’ve received this message:

You’ve hit your daily maximum number of images. To ensure the best experience for everyone, we have rate limits in place. Please wait for the next day before generating more images. Your daily maximum will reset in 7 hours and 51 minutes.

Same problem. Just adding my voice to motivate the resolution of the issue. We’re paying for this service, so the bare minimum would be to announce problems transparently, rather than displaying an enigmatic error message.

Just got the same error, I was just asking GPT (3.5) to change the tone of a text and I got the exact same error

“Unusual activity has been detected from your device. Try again later.”

I’ve asked GPT multiple things before with no issues at all, this came out of nowhere…
