Here’s exactly what I see on my end:
I’ve tried in Chrome, Firefox and Safari (cleared cache, disabled extensions, even tried incognito), but I still get the same two errors every time. Let me know if you uncover any workaround!

Thanks for updating.
I guess it is an error from openai end. Many people got the same error.

I hope I can revert my reverts! I am so mad I thought I made a mistake.

Yes. Same issue here. It’s pointed out on OpenAI’s status page: Errors with saving GPTs.
So it’s on their side.

I have the same error , must be some internal malfunction
I’m still getting the error, even though the OAI status page says it’s resolved

still no resolution here.
I’m still having the same issue too.
What also can happen, additionally, is that the custom Gpt is not saveable due to your conversation starters.
For example if you may have made an advanced initialization prompt then the custom Gpt may not be saveable. Especially if it contains programmable instructions. That may be a bug on OpenAI’S side.
Workaround:
- Copy this conversation starter into the clipboard or a Texteditor, etc.
- Remove it.
- Update your custom Gpt the way and with everything you wanna update it.
- Put the conversation starter that caused the error back.
- Click update and just wait.
And it’s done.
