I continue to get this error message: Something went wrong while generating the response. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com.
I’m using Chrome and MS Edge. I’ve cleared browser history, cookies, and all that. No, I don’t have a VPN. I’ll log out, log in, refresh, re-load and it will clear for 5-10 minutes and then I get the error again. No notices that ChatGPT is down either.
Help!!!

Same problem here. I have 2 paid accounts and the 2 have the same problem. They only work on my Iphone App. I’m desperate.

Same error. Sometimes I refresh the page and it fixes itself. But most of the time I have to wait until later to check again. So annoying!!
Same here. But only on one account. No issues on the second one. Using Opera, Chrome and Edge. No VPN.

I have a paid account and this is now limiting my work efficiency. Maybe too early to start relying on these services…

Giving more details about your issue helps. Most likely, there is something that is just not right. What might help is to try to simplify the api call to try to identify what is causing the issue.
I am constantly having this issue in the past week or so with ChatGPT (not API). I’ve been using ChatGPT and API almost on a daily basis for the past year, and never encountered this issue before.
Now, in every conversation after about 3-4 exchanges I get the following message and cannot do anything about it:
" Something went wrong while generating the response. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com."
Sometimes I can’t event begin a conversation that I get this error message.
I tried cleaning browser data, tried other browsers, refreshing, … but I still can’t get rid of this perpetual error. I also tried to find where to “contact us” through the link provider, but can only find useless AI assistants or FAQ.
ChatGPT server status always says there aren’t any problems, but this error just keeps happening. It’s actually forcing me to switch to other AI tools to be able to work properly.

Getting the same issue with the web interface. Been going on over a week for me, tried clearing everything, incognito etc etc

So disappointing! Does anybody else face the same issue often?

I’m having the same issue, can’t start any chat without receiving that message

Same issue; No VPN. Clearing cookies, history, incognito browsing doesn’t help…
I am also getting this error pretty much every chat request now. I have to sign out / sign in and I get one successful message before the error comes back.
I’m using my Google account to sign in (wonder if that makes a difference). Need a fix.
Same here, I did try everything as the rest of the crowd. Not sure, what to do.
