Codex Bug - Multiple Github Accounts

Codex provides the option to add multiple Github organizations/accounts. However, when I succesfully authenticate a second account, I cannot se it in the dropdown. I’ve tried a few times and the operation is succesful but I am unable to see any other account other than the first one I added in the dropdown.

Anyone else running into this?

Also seeing this! would really appreciate an update on this bug. @swaters11 did you ever get it to work?

having a similar issue were I connected a github account and then added an organization with ChatGPT Connector. The repos from the organization don’t show in the Repository selection in the new environment creation (codex/settings/environment/create) and only the github account is showing in the “GitHub organization” dropdown.

Same issue being experienced here. I tried multiple devices, adding/removing 2FA on github, different browsers, no change.

Has anybody been able to get a Github repo from an organization to show up alongside personal Github repos with the ChatGPT connector?

I’m an organization admin … I’ve probably spent 6 hours monkeying around with the ChatGPT connector and Github auth permissions and have yet to see any of my organization repos show up or be discoverable via the repo import method.

If there some wizardry that makes this possible beyond what OpenAI help provides, I would love to know.

SAME!

I’ve seen a youtube video where the guy successfully has 2 accounts, so not sure why it’s happening here.

It works for a fresh github org I set up, which doesn’t require SSO. Still not working for the other org

I have got my personal repos and my repos from an organisation working alongside each other, so at least one person is not encountering this issue.

How did you manage to get it to work?

I didn’t “manage” anything, it just worked. I added a repo from my personal account, then another repo from an organisation account, and both have worked fine.

Reporting the same issue.

auth logins are weird I must say.

I never fully understood them. When we use Google logins, is it account dependent, browser dependent, tab dependent ? It’s like a blind swing of the bat in hit and misses.

I was not able to log in to OpenAI developer community for 2 days and suddenly after setting up 2FA and try on the 3rd day, I am now in.

Same here with my orgs. Personal account shows up but non of the orgs do. They are all SSO so maybe that’s the reason?

I’m still hitting the same problem. After I deleted all environments to troubleshoot, things got worse—now nothing connects. The setup reaches the OpenAI step and then crashes, leaving me with no repositories and no way to add any.

+1 I’d like to add an additional account

After authentication with GitHub I’m redirected back to Codex Environments settings but the second account is not in the dropdown and there is no trace of anything being added

Same issue. Removed 1 GitHub account, can’t add any GitHub account except the original GitHub account that was connected.

The same here. Added one account, tried to add others. I see ChatGPT connector installed in another account’s settings but it does not appear in Codex.

Same here. I have 2 org accounts (my personal) and 1st one only shows up. After adding 2nd (shows connected) it’s not in the dropdown and repos do not appear.

Same thing here. And I am adding more words to this post to get over the 25 word minimum…

Hello! I was able to reproduce the issue and reported the issue to the codex team.
