will you update here to let us known when this is fixed?
Yep - same issue here. I initially connected with my work GitHub and now can’t add my personal one.
by deleting the the Github connector from the chatGPT settings/connectos/github/manage => Disconnect
I was able to then add a new environment to another Github organization
this then sets up the connector afresh with the new org.
- interestingly without removing the environment previously connected the initial Github organization. - this is somewhat dangeling but I suppose I can switch back then work with it..
it’s a workaround for now
I’m having the same issue and would really love to know when there is a solution. I removed my previous github connection so I could connect another one and now none of them will connect.
Unfortunately the workaround did not work in my case. Is there an update on this?
My only work around is to delete my environment and switch from Enterprise Github to personal or vice versa. Then I can do my work. I cannot use both enterprise and personal at the same time.
Hi everyone, I was able to make it work, and now both my personal and organization accounts with SSO are on the list.
I went to Settings/Connectos/GitHub and it wasn’t configured; I had to follow the same steps as those on the Codex page. After that, Codex picked up all the repos.
I am facing the same issue
Any updates here? Still having this issue from day 1.
Just adding to the pile so someone will look at this. I’ve also been having this same issue since day 1.
Bumping this thread because I still can’t connect to 2 GitHub accounts.
Hello! We're actively working on adding support for multiple GitHub accounts. We'll be sure to update you as soon as the fix is live.
Please fix this issue, it’s been over 2 months on the PRO subscription and I’m not able to use my private repo with dozens of programs I want to improve.
Also still reporting this. I disconnected my first Github account by removing the connector, but now I cannot add ANY github account on the codex github connection screen. The connector installs but upon redirect the codex interface can’t find it, meaning I now cannot use Codex at all.
Edit: Workaround is to remove github connector in ChatGPT UI account settings, then do it again and it will connect to the new github account properly.
Hello! We currently support connecting only one GitHub org at a time. To connect a different one, disconnect the existing connection and then add the new org. To reduce confusion, we’ve updated the UI label from “+ Add a GitHub account” to “connect GitHub org.”
The process of switching GitHub connections in Codex/ChatGPT is a little convoluted and cumbersome. Please consider streamlining some part of that process if you cannot allow multiple accounts added at the same time.
I had the same issue, but I seem to have gotten both accounts into Codex now. First I logged out of GitHub from either account. Then I go to environments (top right), then Data Controls on the left in Codex. I disconnect from the first GitHub account that I was connected with and then connect with the 2nd account (It will say it is connected to the 2nd account).
Then go back to environments and add any new project(s) from the new GitHub account. Now you should see projects from both accounts in the environments table.
I then asked it to summarize a project from account 1 and separately from account 2 and it seemed to work.
I just wanted to say I’ve never been able to get my private GitHub repositories to work with Codex.
I am also unable to disconnect an organization that I used to own but was transferred to someone else.
So I can’t test if just one GitHub account would work.
I’m going to try deleting my entire ChatGPT account and see if that fixes it if I restart it.
EDIT: That finally solved it! Annoying that I needed to delete my account and can’t use my old email, but it works now!
@OpenAI_Support Just wish to know if multi accounting is considered or in development. Just to know if we still go for workarounds or we can expect it to be released soon.
