On iPhone there is no problem using the voice module with the Breeze voice.
On a MacBook Pro, it works terribly. You can ask a question, but the app can’t answer. It starts answering and gets cut. You can see the app repeating the process and trying to answer several times, but it fails miserably. At the end, when you suspend the voice module and check the text output from ChatGPT, you can see multiple lines cut with the same words it was trying to answer with, but the sentences are cut.
I have tried lowering the volume to no avail.
I am using the build in microphone and speakers on the laptop.
Every other sound app is working ok. The issue is just with ChatGPT.
I had the same issue and just tried this from another thread:
Following Step 3 and toggling the microphone off and on n the Privacy and Security settings resolved the issue. This fix worked for both the iOS and macOS versions!
It started a few days ago for me. It works on Mobile. I can’t talk to Chat App on Mac only (both voice recognition and voice chat). Microphone settings toggled - didn’t help.
Works on Windows/phone but Mac is weird. On directly connected headset it works. On audio via HDMI it speaks a word or two, stops, stutters and goes in endless loop. On Airpods it sounds like the voice is disguised like in criminal investigations. - slow and distorted. Something is very odd about how ChatGPT desktop Mac App works with audio
