@supernovanancy so I have a question 149 messages for the whole team or per person? I am talking about chatgpt for teams
Hi so you see 90 messages per user or the whole team?
The Teams cap is currently 100 per user, but that may or may not change. Plus message caps went up and down a few times before they settled on 40.
Is this per person or for the whole team? I mean this limit 100 messages per 3 hours .
So is the limit has settled at 40 now this is bit unclear actually
Thanks kindly for this. I appreciate your time. There is a new comparison pricing page here: ChatGPT Pricing
Teams has SOC 2 Type 1 compliance. Detail here.
@liquidburn The implementation and billing is quite confusing and things will undoubtedly change multiple times. For now, here is what some testing with my team has shown in regards to your 2 main questions (apologies if all it does is add more confusion):
The Teams subscription is a standalone product and has some increased functionality over Plus plans, but lacks other functionality that Plus plans have. So, if you and your example friend want to use only the workspace account, you can do that. However, if you cancel the āPersonal Plusā account, you will not be able to create a builder profile, verify it, link it to a website or provide a privacy policy. Although the GPTs that are created under the Workspace account can be shared publicly, none of the builder profile settings are (currently) available in Workspace.
A feedback feature was added to the builder profile section that allows developers to get feedback from users. However, because of the above, it makes it problematic for a business to take advantage of the feature.
Also, while the announcement may be confusing/misleading, you are actually able to share GPTs within workspace as outlined in the announcement details. However, the ability to control WHAT is shared is only available to Enterprise customers (150 seats and up).
No, the chats are not visible by other team members until you share them with each other. However, due to recent changes to the sharing features (specifically deprecating picking up where another team member left off) this sharing functionality has been reduced to simply giving a team member something to read.
You can get more details on sharing here:

I hope this helps and provides SOME clarity. Expect everything to be different tomorrow though.
@BPS_Software thanks for sharing your experience. Is it possible to deploy custom GPTs externally if you have a team account? or is it restricted to the workspace itself?
Welcome to the community @adityakaul
Yes, you can now share GPTs created within the Team workspace internally and externally. The Team workspace adds the ability to share it only within the team.
Thanks. I guess my question was more around can I deploy the GPT outside of the OpenAI environment? For example on my company website?
No, Custom GPTs are only available within the framework of the ChatGPT Plus subscription.
You would instead need to build an Assistant in the Playground and include it in an application that you deploy on your company site.
Since many solo devs want to band together for Teams, will it affect their ability to publish their own custom GPT in the GPT Store?
No, the above referenced issue was resolved a few days later. So, having only a Team workspace account will no longer impact their ability to publish their own GPTs to the store.
However, it has been confirmed that banding together to utilize Team is not allowed.
I bought a team plan, but when I invite another email, when I press the āJoin Workspaceā button that comes to the email address, it does not work and cannot join.
