I still can’t browse the web or view images, and the only tool available is bio. This has been happening for four days now. I’ve already tried various solutions, like deleting conversations, clearing memories and cache, and logging in and out. This is so frustrating.

facing the same issue and OpenAI team is not responding and their support is just useless!! At least they should officially recognize this and update their status page. This is a massive outage on their side.
In ChatGPT Plus settings, the bottom option (that you will find in the personal menu with your Gravatar icon), choose “personalization”, then custom instructions.
Scrolling to the bottom of the custom instructions box, you may find where the options you desire could have been de-selected, along with a place to put better custom behavior.
Then start a new chat.
You will then have an AI that will disclose its internal tools upon correct demand by a well-articulated question. You will also see the canvas tool placed when not in canvas mode, the voting tool that has long been removed, and the memory tool not removed completely by disabling memories.

Bro, stop reporting problems without attempting the simplest of things so that you can produce your own solution, that’s so boring. The “generic reply” is the AI producing for me what someone reported it couldn’t do, a listing of internal tools. The symptom is not replicable with custom instructions on and the boxes checked, which is all I need.
If ChatGPT Plus acts like you aren’t a subscriber, log out, and log in again.
If it is a problem that follows your account to multiple browsers and devices, beyond the settings in ChatGPT, there is no forum helper here that can access your account-specific configuration problem.
Which device is this? Are you on the Web Version or the App Version? The issue only appears on Web Browsers. And logging in logging out doesn’t work. Stop pretending as if we all are doing conspiracy theory here. Nobody on their sane mind comes on a community forum if there’s nothing gravely wrong. I paid for the subscription so I deserve to know what happened.
Also, I can do everything on the same exact account if I am using the Mobile App, tell me, does it magically uncheck those boxes if I come to use on Web? XD.

Unfortunately, the continued “working fine” for me, even on a borrowed computer and cel phone tether, leaves me unable to replicate any issue other than to suggest that you also try a completely different reset browser platform, such as Firefox downloaded fresh, using “private browsing”, using no extensions, so there no doubt that the problem is not lingering application data in the browser or browser configuration.
Then, if you have a problem following you everywhere, you must blame it on the rights being given to accounts, perhaps even tracing the metadata that is being sent to a web browser in network requests.
I even installed Opera Browser. Naturally, it was tested on Firefox. The same issue occurs on other PCs. Basic methods, including Safe Mode in Windows, don’t help. It seems to affect only certain accounts in browser versions, which the developers are keeping silent about.
The “ignored” here on this forum is expected, as this is not a place to get account support from OpenAI, (or any support at all after a week of people unable to log into their account due to unreceived emails to Apple, or unable to use GPT builder).
You’d have to send to the “messages” at “help.openai.com”, stating it is account-specific, yet affecting several accounts besides yours, with enough documentation to not just get a bot reply but instead problem escalation.
At least we are trying to draw OpenAI’s attention to the issue. I’m very glad and happy for you if everything works fine on your end. Please don’t project your experience onto others.

Thank you for your suggestions, @arata . Unfortunately, I’ve already tried this, including deleting its rules and using other browsers, but the issue persists. It works perfectly fine on the mobile app, but the browser version still seems to have the same problem. It was briefly fixed for a while, but now it’s gone again, and it can’t search the web (even though I let it remember its tools). I hope this gets resolved as soon as possible.
