Title: Cannot Upload Files – Support Request Form Also Not Working (Pro Plan)
Hello, I’m a ChatGPT Pro user.
For the past 4+ days, I have been completely unable to upload any files — not even small ones under 1MB. Every time I try, it says I’ve exceeded my quota.
Even worse, I cannot submit a support request because the help.openai.com/hc/en-us/requests/new page will NOT load at all. I’ve tried everything:
I’ve already done all the following:
- Cleared browser cache and cookies
- Used multiple browsers (Chrome, Safari)
- Tried incognito/private mode
- Logged out and back in
- Switched to a different device
- Switched to a different network (including mobile hotspot)
- Even tried another OpenAI account
Still nothing works. And yes — I know you’re going to suggest these steps.
But I’ve done them repeatedly for the past 4 days. Nothing helps.
As a Pro plan subscriber, not being able to upload files and not even being able to reach support is extremely frustrating.
I’m posting here as a last resort because I literally cannot contact support in any other way.
Please escalate this.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue.
Whenever I try to add files to a project via computer and smartphone, the upload simply does not work—no error message is shown, but the files are not added.
I’ve tried different browsers, cleared cache, and even attempted from different devices and networks, but the problem persists.
It would be great if someone from the OpenAI team could confirm if this is a known issue or if there is any estimated timeline for a fix.
If any workaround exists, please share it here.

I really think it’s a bug, because I can’t include more than 10 files. And they don’t even come close to the total file size allowed.

Replying for visibility. Sometime Tuesday afternoon I suddenly was unable to upload more than ten files to any (existing or new) project. I’ve tried everything you’ve tried above (new browser, deleting cache, new project) and nothing works. It appears like the file limit is 10 right now, despite no one having mentioned if this is intended. I don’t know if I hit an invisible file limit but I’m able to add ten files to new projects, so I doubt it.
I have the same issue. I can upload 10 files but no more despite the fact that we can upload 20 files … What’s happening?

I contacted the help channel and sent information about it.
Edit: 40 files is for the pro plan. I have the plus plan, so I believe it should be 20.
There are 14 files in my project folder (Plus subscription). I can’t upload anything, and it won’t let me delete anything either
