TL;DR attempting to add to credit balance gives me an error message “Enter an amount between $4 and $3”
Entering, for example, $3.50 does not work, I think $4 is the minimum and $3 is the maximum, so no number fits the criteria.
I’m trying to add a a bit of money because I’m stuck at API tier 1 and I read that adding money after your 7/14 days elapsed causes your tier to be re-evaluated, but I can’t add money due to this bug.
I suspect that the issue is that because I’m at tier 1 I’m limited to $100 and I have $96.XX in the account, so the “maximum” I can spend is $3, but their desired minimum charge is $4
Yes, you will need to “consume down” the balance of your account currently before you can add more money.
The tier system is meant to limit the rapidness that fraud can occur from new accounts, so…it does that. The monthly amount allowed of a tier is also the maximum balance that can be outstanding as credits.
A better approach to gaining tier more quickly for those that find this topic: Don’t just dump the maximum of $100 into your account as an initial payment. Try $5-$50, and revisit for your second payment after 7+ days bringing the amount paid to above $50 for your first tier bump.
