Hi @mariobadugu

Welcome :people_hugging: to the community!

You don’t need a domain to publish your custom GPTs.

Follow the GPT EDITOR page on your account.

Select Create button and start to create your first GPT.
Or
if you have all information about your GPT, you can select Configure button and fill it.
Or
You can find many custom GPTs on GPT Store that help you how you can create it.

Sir/mam to publish custom gpt in gpt store it’s asking to complete the builders profile in which website is the 1st option to fill… Please help if I can publish in gpt store it without website domain

You do not need to fill any website name, it s an option. Please read last link below, the image from that link.

Go to Builder Profile Page
If you want to show your name on your GPT switch on the button in same line Name. If you do not want to show your name switch it off.

Also you can read these OpenAI Help pages:

I have the exact the same problem but i cannot find the Field where i type in my name.

Below is a screenshot of the Builders profile.

Maybe i’m overlooking something?? I’m a chatgpt Plus subscriber

You cannot manually edit your GPT builder name unless you are an Enterprise customer (contact your sales rep about your 150+ seat sales opportunity…)

You have either the choice of exposing your given name to the world, or using a domain name under your control.

You can also just keep your work to yourself and those you share links with, as there is little opportunity for personal profit by adding GPT five-million-plus-one to the store full of 0-effort prompts.

Thanks for pointing that out, but
It is a unique GPT that will likely be used for a specific purpose.

I don’t understand how user Polepole writes that it’s super simple by just filling in your name, while I now understand from you that you need an Enterprise subscription? I’m completely confused.

Do you want to publish to the store directory? You’ll need to verify a domain with DNS records.

Guidelines further say you should have a policy statement on that web page. A personal data policy statement would have more relevance if you are using the GPT “actions” feature that can send personal data to external APIs.

Do you want to share or promote your GPT to only those friends and partners you provide a web link, and you don’t mind your name being seen? You can just use “share link” instead of “publish to store”, which does not have a higher bar of verification.

Custom names would be problematic - plus subscribers claiming they are Uber or PayPal or any name they imagine, likely the reason for this not being available to ChatGPT Plus users, as well as the domain verification step.

@jhkok5

Name is coming from your billing details.
After OpenAI verifying your all billing details, you can see your name.
If you add billing details such as credit card, the name on credit card will be visible.
Or you can choose domain name as option.

You two are so helpful! :heart_hands:

So i managed to get my gpt public! All i had to do was link My Twitter account. It didn’t work in first place using Google Chrome . Then i tried Microsoft Edge and it worked out.

Thanks a bunch for the help! And visit Arnhem sometime

So I think it doesn’t work for me because I subscribed via the Google Play Store, which probably doesn’t use my credit card details. Could that be correct? I don’t see an option to enter my name, and that’s probably because I didn’t sign up for my subscription through the ChatGPT.com website.

A DNS verification won’t work either since I don’t own a domain name.

So if I understand correctly, I can verify my account by re-subscribing through the ChatGPT website instead of the Google Play Store? This way, I can bypass the DNS verification. Right?

By the way, I managed to link my Twitter account (this didn’t work via Google Chrome but did work via Microsoft Edge). Does this have any positive impact on the verification?
