I am the owner of a ChatGPT Business workspace. As of yesterday my account shows as deactivated with NO failed payment — billing history shows payments through February and no March invoice was ever generated.
When I log in I only get a completely blank white page at chatgpt. com/workspace/deactivated No reactivation button. No invoice. No options. Nothing renders.
I opened the browser console and found the following errors:
• Error: Current account is undefined in DeactivatedWorkspaceModal
• Failed to load resource: 402 (Payment Required) on every single backend API call including /backend-api/me, /backend-api/settings/user, /backend-api/celsius/ws/user
• POST https: //chatgpt. com/backend-api/ces/v1/f 402 (Payment Required)
The DeactivatedWorkspaceModal component is crashing because it cannot load account data due to the 402 blocks — so it renders nothing. Self-service reactivation is technically impossible because the UI itself is broken.
I have tried:
✗ 5 different browsers
✗ Mobile app
✗ Cleared cache and cookies
✗ Every direct URL including /select-workspace and /settings/organization/billing — all redirect to the blank page
OpenAI support keeps sending me self-service instructions despite me providing this console evidence. Two tickets open, one escalated to a “workspace reactivation specialist.”
Has anyone else hit this? Does anyone know a direct path to someone at OpenAI who can manually reactivate from the backend?
Thank you for confirming. This validates that this is a platform-wide bug affecting multiple Business owners. I have been locked out for a day and a half with no resolution. OpenAI needs to address this publicly and fix it on their end — it cannot be self-serviced when the UI is broken. Tagging @OpenAI_Support
I had someone finally fix my issue but it took me being a little extreme, I made a public post on Linkedin and I had Ish, head of support Engineering getting involved, I would say comment to my post to his reply and give him the ticket number, scroll down and see Ish’s reply and comment there. So open ai is not letting put any links, so either find me on linkedin in (gabirolon21) and find that post or message me and I will send it to you
happens here also, my CC expired, went to update it, get same blank page, and useless support from openai, blaming me, saying its my browser, never any real resolution, or confirmation.

Hi, I am also affected by this issue. I have been completely locked out of my ChatGPT Business workspace for several days, redirected to chatgpt.com/workspace/deactivated with a blank page on every login attempt.
I have already submitted a support request and have been working through troubleshooting steps (screen recordings, HAR files) but still have no resolution or access.
