Assistance with Access to ChatGPT-01 Model

I am writing to seek clarification and assistance regarding access to the ChatGPT-01 model.

Previously, I had access to ChatGPT-01 and was informed that further updates or reactivation might be available on December 12. However, as of today, I no longer see ChatGPT-01 as an option in my account. I would greatly appreciate your help in understanding the following:

  1. Has ChatGPT-01 been transitioned into another model or integrated with existing offerings (e.g., ChatGPT-4)?
  2. Is there a way for me to reactivate or access ChatGPT-01 features?
  3. Are there any steps I need to take on my account to enable specific model access?

Welcome to the forum!

Good question!

Short answer:
The toolbox icon in the middle

when selected shows

which includes Reason for using o1 models.

Currently OpenAI is doing a major release event called over 12 business days

12 Days of OpenAI

The first day was about o1 models. Also as there are now a few different ways to access ChatGPT

  • Web
  • Mac app
  • Windows app
  • iOS app
  • Android app

as they are all not in sync with features it is hit or miss with finding the correct information.

The best FAQ I can currently find is this

https://help.openai.com/en/articles/10271060-12-days-of-openai-release-updates#h_476a03899e

I do not see it. Last time I could select the model upper left.

Two thoughts.

  1. How are you accessing ChatGPT?

    • Internet browser (which one)
    • Mac app
    • Windows app
    • iOS phone app
    • Android phone app
    • another one that I am unaware, please list
  2. If you are using an app or logged in in more than one place then logout (do not close, logout) of them all, restart and check for an update from settings.

Screen shots are also helpful.

Note: I am not an OpenAI employee, just trying to help.

Thanks it actually showed up after the seven day weighty and it was in the uusla place as a model choice.

Thanks for the reply!
Feedback such as this is rare and really appreciated.

With the error messages given by OpenAI it is hit or miss to what they really mean without seeing the code, no I am not an OpenAI employee so do not see the code that generated the error.
