I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction as I’m hitting the wall trying to get proper support from a human.
I’ve tried contacting billing support but it’s just an automated agent which loops or hangs - does anyone know how I can speak to a human to get a refund without having to go through my credit card company?
I’ve paid for API credits - not much by OpenAI standards but a lot of money by my small struggling developer standards. I’ve just gone to use the API and all my money has vanished - is this normal for the platform to just wipe out people’s accounts? I wasn’t even emailed about this to say they’re deleting my credits. This isn’t a case of not being careful with my API access - I’ve used about 10% of what I paid for; nothing in the usage reports suggest other people are using it or any unusual access.
It is especially frustrating given the team at OpenAI are promoting developer engagement - they’re publicly hosting huge expensive developer-day events this week aimed at us - then they pull this without transparency or support.
If anyone has advice on getting a real response from OpenAI billing or you have recommendations for similar platforms which address these issues I’d appreciate it. I’ve always been a big fan of the company since the early days but they’re losing touch with their everyday user - they’re just targeting enterprise users who can absorb these kinds of losses.
