My account had over $900 USD in credit last month, which I purchased to use the API for projects. This month is all gone. There was no usage, no warning, nothing to inform me that credit expires. Just disappeared from my billing section! What’s going on? How can I connect with OpenAI for clarity and resolution?
In general, this forum is not where you can talk to OpenAI about your organization or account.
You would need to open a dialog at support@openai.com with your organization ID, communicating via the login method email, if not through “help” in the platform site to send a message. Then construct a message that an AI screener would see as legally imperative and actionable enough to pass on to human staff instead of merely restating OpenAI’s policy in bot-like fashion.
For a short while, there was a message about the expiration in the dialog when making a payment, but someone must have thought that this could stop the flow of money and desirable breakage, and it was removed, remaining only in the credit terms a year ago. Service credit terms | OpenAI
