For the purpose of quick feedback, I applied about 2 weeks ago, quick video with basic information, and a few members of the possible team to work on Converge2.
If somebody has any update, will be nice to read it here.
Iām pretty sure that there are more good ideas than open slots in the Converge2, so Good luck to everybody !

We got our application in Friday afternoon. My assumption is they will spend the next week or two reviewing the applications and interviewing potential candidates. The program doesnāt start until early march but there is travel that needs to be coordinated and agreements to be signed. We still donāt even know the equity stake they want for their $1m.
I would expect they spend next week reviewing applications and the week after conducting interviews. The week or two after that will be get the paperwork done and then the travel setup.

You basically apply for a āexpeditedā meeting in the main embassy, with a invite letter from OpenAI and a friendly personal letter to āplease not let all that work go to wasteā.
But you can prepare anyways by checking if your passport is still valid.

NeuralMech is taking on architecture, project management, and engineering. We applied on Friday and are eagerly awaiting a response with our fingers crossed! Being affiliated/partnered with OpenAI would be worth way more to our org than the million in funding. We are primarily a Data company and have our own neural network models and computer vision methods, but we could aid OpenAI in their AGI endgoal.

hey everyone nice to meet everyone here, i got a confirmation emaila fter sending it on friday but nothing else, about the people worried about the visa on the convergence 2 page it does say it will all be able to be done online, I understand that is not the greatest option but just letting all know that there is that option in case you get picked, good luck everyone and lets change the world together

Okay, well now Iām just getting nervous, because I donāt believe I ever received a confirmation email, and when I followed up to shoot them an email asking if I should have gotten one, I didnāt hear back (not surprised, but still worth a shot).
I swear to god, if my application never went through, Iām gonna lose my shit Mind you all I applied, like, Day 2 after it was up, so I submitted this a while ago.
