Where are options for choosing better answers in ChatGPT?

I was always using the “Regenerate" button which was always placed under each response from ChatGPT for my works and long ideas. With that button it was possible to make several variants for choosing better answers among them. Including indicating exact amount of generated answers for each request in chats. But today, I noticed that the amount indicator of regenerated responses for each request disappeared from the “options” section under every previous response in every single chat of my profile. The “Regenerate” button is available and you can generate newer response for a request but the previous answer totally dissapears after that without restoring them back. It is absent in different browsers, on laptops and on mobile. Can answer numbers be reinstalled there in ChatGPT? Has anyone noticed their absence if someone also works with several amounts of answers in chats?

Hey @ZhurinovBeket, With the release of newer models and recent updates, the current setup uses the “Try again” icon instead of the older Regenerate flow. When you click it, it generates a new response but replaces the previous one rather than keeping multiple visible versions in the same thread.

At the moment there isn’t a setting to restore the previous behavior. If you’d like to keep the original output while exploring alternatives, you can send a new message in the chat saying “regenerate,” which will prompt ChatGPT to generate a fresh response while keeping the earlier one visible for comparison.

By “Regenerate” button, I actually meant “Try Again” button though.
