hi , i recently installed chatgpt android app on my phone and i noticed something odd!
if you using web version when you regenerate a chatgpt answer there is number below the chatgpt response that show you how many response you created and you can choose best response
but on the app there is no such a thing and you can only see the latest response !
i searched every where and i couldn’t find anything
if i touch regenerate , it create a new answer
In the app, you cannot see the number of regenerations or select from the generated responses. This applies to everyone, not just you.
Let’s hope it will be possible in future updates🙂
I also ran into this issue today, hopefully they will let us see previous generations in the iOS app as well.
It would be great if both versions offered the same features. In the meantime, you can use the browser version on your phone if you need access to previous responses. I also noticed another difference: the mobile app lets you pause the ‘Read Aloud’ playback, but that feature isn’t available on the web version.
The app also allows you to regenerate a response if you are unhappy with, and the web version allows you to navigate responses and keeps the formatting when you copy and paste from it. So currently it is essential to use both versions, which is rather odd.
I am shocked that this still hasn’t been corrected in the app. It makes zero sense to allow regenerations but not give you to ability to view them on the app.
As far as I can remember, this feature used to be present in the app.
It was removed in the later updates for some reason. But I’d love to get it back. Useful things are better left untouched.
Recently I noticed that the amount indicator of regenerated responses for each request disappeared from the “options” section under every previous response in every single chat of my profile. The “Regenerate” button is available and you can generate newer response for a request but the previous answer totally dissapears after that without restoring them back. It is absent in different browsers, on laptops and on mobile. Can answer numbers be reinstalled there in ChatGPT?
